Hands down, the best album of 2019; in fact, one of the very best of the 2010s. I was very excited for you all to get signed to Century Media and get a rerelease of this amazing record. To Century Media, now that you've recently signed these guys and Black Crown Initiate, with their new album coming out soon too, these two bands must tour together as soon as tours become viable again.

If Devin Townsend, Swano and Opeth had a love child, they would still fall short of this. Amazing.

the instant i heard this kick off i went 'oh other bands take the wall of sound approach as well' and after the singing started i started looking for Opeth credits XD and now i have to go look up Swano cheers :)

The best album I have heard in a long time. Wilderun are masters of weird chord progressions and strange shapes - this album does strange things to my head. Give yourself a clear hour with no distractions and play it loud, it transports you....

Endless blood for half-heart measures Raze the mountain for your treasure No devotion to the struggle No precision in the final hour There was more to find but the light betrayed All the tales to unwind, forgotten in the hazy darkness of our days But there's a spark made of sleep, Remembering when time held its mystery There's no end to subscribe to anything, Closure's slaves keep building when they die Cold the color of victory Life only grows through memory We fight the wind as if it were mortal We cut the air in search of a soldier Dreams tilt sideways Don't prize tomorrow's pledge There was more to find but the light betrayed All the tales to unwind, Forgotten in the blissful darkness that we praise There is never a task at hand Weight of spirit is the weight of sand Try as you will to summon the deed The end grows further with every earthly need O resolution, you are the curse O resolution, leave this earth

Any idea what the lyrics is about? i can't seem to decrypt
@jorgeparmelee95552 жыл бұрын
@@locrilydian the album as a whole is about getting lost and hiding in one’s own thoughts and missing out on the reality that is. This is my summation of what singer Evan Barry explained the album to be about. This song seems to fit that description

I've been looking for years for a band that could fill the hole Opeth left in me and I think I might have found it! Not saying this band is a ripoff or anything, they just seem to hit the same sweet spots as old Opeth did.. alot more symphonic though. Wow! First listen. I need more!

I was gonna say - this almost sounds like the other route Opeth could've taken after Watershed, instead of ditching the death metal sound entirely. Good to know someone is out there pursuing that sort of sound.
@ogelsmogel4 жыл бұрын
@@ThisNameIsVeryClever I agree! This song REALLY impressed me, I usually give new bands not more than 10 seconds of my time (I'm picky) but this intrigued me right away. Nice vocals too! It sounds like Opeth from an alternate - but not too distant - dimension, it feels like they have something of their own going on :)

If you didn't already, you should listen to Tyranny of Imagination as soon as possible. That track is as close to a masterpiece as I have possibly ever heard.

I find its usually an easy way to find new bands, I just go through and listen to all the bands I've never heard before. But holy shit, I don't know what to think about these guys yet.
