@@ultravioletsus France's first war with Germany wasn't WW2. Notably, right before that, she had won WW1. Meanwhile, all the US ever did during a WW is arriving late, once another country has essentially already won the war. The US hid in that way behind France in WW1 and the USSR in WW2. Never losing is easy when you only pick winning sides after the deed. But I guess that's just the rules of the game, no matter how petty. And thus, France is added to the victors of WW2, and the US to that of WW1 and WW2, though those who actually fought and won them remain France and the USSR.

Let see when the British fight France had happen? Yes, the French eventually won the Hundred Years' War. They fully defeated the English at the Battle of Castillon in 1453. The War of the Fifth Coalition was fought in 1809. It was fought by a coalition of the Austrian Empire and the United Kingdom against Napoleon's French Empire and Bavaria. France won the war. The Napoleonic war? Both sides get some alliance with other countries. The French became powerful very fast and conquered most of Europe but then lost quickly after the French invasion of Russia failed. The Napoleonic Wars ended with the Second Treaty of Paris on 20 November 1815, just after the huge Battle of Waterloo, a large battle that the French lost. But nice fantasy..

When England, very sensibly, brought in the help of the rest of the British Isles, we made short work of the French at every turn. France may have won a few land battles, predominantly against other mainland Europe based armies, but they certainly didn't bring us to any surrender table in 1809. We were constantly at war with them from their revolution until their double capitulations in 1814 & 1815 (except for the short lived peace of Amiens where both sides just rearmed). We were always in the fight until it was done & the French got beat.

What if I say France took over Germany in 15 days durin the Napoleonic War It took 7 Coalitions to take out our French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. Plus, the Whole Europe was against him. Don’t talk if you don’t know anything also in WW2 France was the strongest European country but did a big military mistake which was not defending the Belgium side (the French government thought Germany would respect Belgium neutrality but in reality they didn’t so at this very moment it was over)

You're aware certain north-western states (Belgium) only exist as a buffer zone (Holland) because England didn't want Germany on the other side of the channel. Which capitulated immediately. The western front is essentially their glorified front porch & garden. It's only a collective and growing resentment towards non-whites that stopped the warring denominations of Europe beheading and displaying each other on spikes GOT style. They have no culture or purpose - the only thing their citizens do of note if leave.

The histories I read concur with the deliberate Russian withdrawal, but I read that Boney got within sight of Moscow, never 'took' it and had to withdraw as his men were too disorganised for another battle on the Borodino scale.

@@sarumano884 Borodino was gigantic in scale and exsanguinated both armies, but it was essentially a stalemate. Both armies were exhausted and had nothing to show for it. Just because the action is massive doesn't mean the conclusion is decisive. And Moscow WAS taken. Without opposition.They didn't hold it because sabotage caused the city to burn. Napoleon started the evacuation plans from a room in the Kremlin at the heart of the city, not because he was too disorganized for battle, but because the place was a burning death trap. It lead to an overall withdrawal from the country due to a lack of key infrastructure (since the city burned), preventing the establishment of winter quarters. It is afterwards that order collapsed in the withdrawal due to winter conditions allowing Russians to take advantage of guerrilla tactics, harassing columns of men who were poorly fed because supply lines had collapsed and the usual foraging the corps system relied upon in those situations was impossible.
