This year the female disappeared. I saw a marten and ural owls near the nest. Probably one of them ate the female.

One question that I always have is how the birds manage to digest whole pieces of an animal that other animals cannot. They must have a very tolerant stomach as well.

Highly acidic digestive juices in their stomach, that would do it, melt it down.

Look up "bird pellets", it's like a cat coughing up a hairball but instead it's all the indigestible parts of their prey like fur, bones, feathers etc.

They don't. They regurgitate the fur and bones later.

Actually young birds doesn't digest food. So when the feces comes out, their parents eats them. The parents have acids inside of them or something that melts them down.

That's not a Sparrow Hawk that I grew up knowing about. It looks a lot more like a Cooper's or Sharp-shinned Hawk or some variation of that. Sparrow Hawks (Kestrels) are more colorful than this bird.
