I got my first guitar on my 12th birthday in 1959 (still have it). I got it on the condition that I learn my fathers favorite song...... Wildwoodflower. I learned the song and loved that guitar but switched to bass (which I love also) to get in a band in 1964...... played in bands since then but covid handed me retirement so I'm back on the guitars and just made a one-man-band recording of some old instrumentals from back then. Wildwood Flower was one of them. Not great but I'm sure my father was smiling down on me.... and cursing me for wrecking his song. Thanks for posting this....
