A sophisticated rendition of the original masterpiece, the G6136T-59GE Vintage Select Edition 1959 White Falcon with Bigsby combines period-accurate features and appointments from the golden age of electric guitars. Satisfying eyes and ears with its golden tones and gleaming looks, this rare bird comes alive in the player’s hands, singing with its distinctive voice at every strum.
A pair of TV Jones® Classic pickups generates powerful tone and unparalleled dynamics. The new Gretsch “Squeezebox” paper-in-oil capacitors provide an incredibly silky high end. Add some expressive shimmer to your playing with the Bigsby B6GVT vibrato tailpiece while the pinned Space Control bridge and bone nut combine for impeccable tuning stability. A highly resonant 3-ply maple top with 1959-style trestle bracing and multi-ply laminated maple back and sides make this instrument a veritable cannon, firing off notes with incredible projection and rich, balanced tone. A maple neck with a comfortable and versatile standard “U”-shaped profile for supple playability is capped by a 12”-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and classic Gretsch thumbnail inlays, making complex chords, far-reaching bends and intricate single-note playing effortless.
Authentically iconic, this striking guitar displays gold hardware-including the gold jeweled “G Arrow” knobs- gold sparkle bound neck, body and F Holes, vintage white gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish and gold vintage thick plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo. With its stunning looks and huge sound, the iconic G6136T-59GE Vintage Select White Falcon is the crown jewel of Gretsch guitars. Includes a deluxe hardshell case.

What do you say me and you go partners half/half on one. You have it for two months , I have it for two months? If I knew you and trusted you this would be a great idea, outside of that, the Electromatic line is really good and I highly recommend the 5420T

Why wasn't one of those "appointments" putting a bridge on it that allows for intonation adjustment? If you put .008s on there, is it going to intonate properly? For $3000 or $4000, shouldn't it have an adjustable bridge with the moveable saddles? I'd lose sleep at night knowing my strings weren't exactly in tune because the lengths were not the proper lengths to make them fret in tune on every fret. Anybody actually tested this with a guitar tuner? It sounds amazing though.

Masterful Gregory Kochery. Are you you using the provided .11-.49 gauge strings as you melt the pickguard with your sinewy soulful licks? Thanks for playing all the styles with appropriate sounds. The distortion and crunch tones sound tuff but crystal clear. Just got mine today. God bless you Joey C!

Penelope White in fact, I own 2 fender guitars. Bought my first Gretsch this year. And another...a few weeks after. They are by far the best guitar I’ve played. The sound is very different from a telecaster.

I can see why you’d say that @Penelope White Both tend to have a nice clear strong treble. And if you find photos of Brian Setzer playing a guitar that isn’t a Gretsch, I bet he’s probably holding a Tele. Gretsches can have zany-sweet “extra-ness” to them though. And it’s only on their guitars that I’ve encountered it. And I’ve tried out A LOT of hollowbody electric guitars, because YES, you’re correct, they ARE expensive. I’m pro’ly going to buy one even though I can’t afford it (because the average life-span of an American male is only about 73 years).

I disagree when you are playing a legend you should stick to a clean sound demonstrating the different sounds from the pickup configurations all that distorted crap is not a true demo IMUO
@Klang4evre

Bullshit clean is incredibly boring.
@robertmcdaniel196
@robertmcdaniel196 5 жыл бұрын
TheKlinklanginator Nope! Clean is just to get the true sound of the pickups at different configurations and body to neck true sounds I’m not saying playing clean is what to do just to demonstrate the quality of the instrument too much effects-as is he did-impedes the the quality of the instrument build....of course was interesting to hear the effects but not to demonstrate the 59 legend also I just bought one just like it. I was more interested in hearing what Gretsch had come up with in the bare bones sound remember this was a demo of a reissue legend not an effects driven sound to muddy the true sound....just my 2 cents.
