i agree with wiley. boy in da corner is the only classic grime album. and wiley hasnt had a classic album. kanos was brilliant, but not as uncomprimised as dizzee's, it was diluted with a bit of commercial tint. dizzees told a perfect story, had amazing lyrics, electronic grimey instrumentals (before it was even called grime). everyone else has got classic songs like ps and qs and eskimo. if wiley filtered down tunnel vision, into an album of 122. that could be a classic. just my opinion.

It's mad how after this interview bare man inside their hearts will be offended for Wiley just speaking HIS truth and saying how he truly feels. The Grime/UK Rap scene used to be like this, there were real men telling their truth and they weren't afraid of who they offended. Now we have artists who care more about protecting their relationships. The authenticity of the music like Wiley says comes from the pain and you don't feel it anymore. Yes we get really good music and albums but nothing with soul in it. If you're a real you would never be offended by someone telling you how they feel because we all think differently

Wiley perfectly summed up what I think about Giggs' album, it's good, but when you've listened to a lot of his work, especially the old stuff, like best of giggs 2/3, you know he's got more in the tank than what he gave on the album.

Why was Wiley trying to discredit Kano though? When Kano came out, he set the bar so high in terms of skill and quality output. Nobody had ever seen that before. His level of skill was unprecedented, he changed the whole lyrical landscape of grime. Nobody was technical, using metaphors and all that before Kano. I think Wiley is still bitter because Kano washed him in that LOTM clash lol

Fully agree with Wiley, 'Boy in the corner' is the only classic album in Grime history - no debate. And i would argue against Posty's point about 'Home sweet home' making people want to rap. The way i remember it 'Ard Bodied did more to birth a new generation of UK rappers then 'Home sweet home' ever did. I'm a big Kano fan too and it's a shame he's not bigger than he is considering how talented of MC he is, but lets not get into any revisionism just because we all generally want to see Kano do well, 'Home sweet home' was good, i think it was the last physical CD i ever bought, but it wasn't and will never be a Grime classic.

I loved Giggs new album however I think he missed out that greezy slow flow and a crazy beat on his new album, nonetheless loved to see where he has gone seeing his background

I just like that he's from our era, knows where he came from, did his ting and now gets to live in a way dat works for him. My sister is 8 yrs younger than me and in a time when I was an aspiring dj heavily into HLC she rocked Boy in da corner, naturally I took the cd and blasted it in my car, so for me that album does have bible status, no matter his differences with Dizzie, he still said that, and I rate him for it coz in my opinion it true. Although when I think of the godfather I think of Creed on da mic...ghu ghu ghu ghu doin it again. but of grime, Wiley will always be da originator. Big up
