Please note because Wilford was in a wheelchair. In order to film I had to hold the camera at an angle and not leave it on the monopod. So this gets a little shaky at times, audio is good so if the movement bothers you just listen!

Anthony Wilford Brimley (born September 27, 1934)[1] is an American actor and singer.[2] After serving in the Marines and doing a variety of jobs including ranch hand and wrangler, Brimley became an extra for Westerns, and in little more than a decade he had established himself as a character actor in films such as The China Syndrome (1979), The Thing (1982) and The Natural (1984). His trademark mustache, accent and brusque delivery made Brimley recognizable, but forthrightness on screen was on occasion matched by bluntness on set when his interpretation of a character was being faulted. Brimley's weather-beaten appearance enabled him to be convincing as someone decades older in the film Cocoon (1985).
Brimley was the long-time face of television advertisements for the Quaker Oats Company.[3] He has also promoted diabetes education and appeared in related commercials for Liberty Medical.

Beautiful video where many unknown secrets and wonderful stories of Mr. Brimley's life are told. A perennial actor par excellence who started his career as a stuntman into a world class artist in film. May his contributions to Humanity be remembered forever.....

Because Wilford is so humble, and almost ashamed to talk about himself, his interviews often seem awkward. If the interviewer can get him talking about his personal experiences, it’s a lot of fun to listen to him.

Well he's also very old, and he lives in Wyoming; the most unpopulated state in the country, lol.

I first met him about 35 years ago when my buddy and him were team roping partners in Utah, he didn't talk much then either, but I wasn't interviewing him, just hoping to hear a few good stories.

What a great class act! Would have been nice if the person taking the video footage could face used a tripod to keep the camera straight! I can't believe any of these nerds in the audience didn't ask him about his work with Tom Mapother in the Firm! How the hell did they omit that masterpiece that was one of the most successful films in history?!

Wilford Brimley's health was failing him. He was ready to go. And he went in 2020 from kidney failure.
