The occasions that I saw Wilko perform at the tail end of the 70's and early 80's as a teenager will stay with me forever. The energy of the shows and the pure simple pleasure of a great night out are to be treasured. R.I.P. Wilco. Peace and love.

He had to quit Game of Thrones, because he was Illyn Payne. Now he's no longer ill, or in pain. He dodged a bullet there, he might have ended up in Season 8.

Isn't it sad to know today that both these guys have now gone, and Wilko outlived Bill. I hope this meeting helped Bill through his later ordeal - hope is all when you get that news. None of us know our departure time.

I watch his hands and still cannot see how he gets all the other notes ! I'm a total amateur played for 50+ years but Wilko's style immediately made me think the video was edited...in fact it isn't...very strange and wonderful guitar genius...

I've always loved the Who, and Roger Daltrey, and of course Dr Feelgood & Wilko, but think about it people, the Feelgoods weren't/aren't recent UK household names...don't criticise the BBC...there's people there who DO know him & the FGs and DO care. last time he was on they gave him space & respect. And remember, Good news is No news, so great that they had him back. IMHO long live Wilko Johnson, xxx
"I'm not a musician"!! Oh yes you are Wilko, a musician and a performer. I'm a guitarist (musician?) and like a lot of us I cannot grasp your technique of rhythm and lead. It obviously comes naturally to you but it's a great technique and most others just cannot do it. I think an MBE is due.

Weird to think that Wilko, the man who 18 months before had been given up for dead, actually outlived Bill who looks absolutely healthy here.
