I grew up on my great grandfather's model 65. He was a tight wad so he waited until the new model (135,165, 175) came out and bought our 65 (we still have it) in 1965. I heard he had an Oliver before that, but also heard it was a Farmall M. Either way I'm an MF man for life because of that ancient iron beast. Once I get it from my aunt I'm going to restore it to like new and drive it in parades and stuff.

It's warm here today too Doc...first 90 degree day for Northwest Ohio in 2021! That tractor is worth saving FOR SURE! It'll make a nice machine for someone once it's up and running. I can't wait for the videos on Tractor Doctor TV.

I grew up on a 65. It was sort of a family heirloom. It told my grandmother that I wanted it. She gave it away. Good times.

They were actually a pain when you needed to put in fuels. I owned two Massey Harris Ferguson’s 50’s which the exact same hoods1956 models.

You have more than $200 in spare parts in that tractor, but you in a position of where if it requires some labor and parts it will take ton of either to make it a financial loss. Good pick!

I came across a 1961a... Admittedly built in the mother country of MF😊 but it costs 700US and in Europe that is considered CHEAP.

Is Doc really a mechanic? Love your channel. More I watch you seem to be the mechanic and just need labor. ✌️ no hating.

Lol you get your brother to help you figure out the tractor then tell him he needs to cut his grass. Nothing like a little dig to him brother.

Hey crazy D love the videos and channel. I wanted to ask your opinion on a deal i have in the works. I have the opportunity to buy a farmall super A for 400$ non running with wheel weights and a front snowplow. The owner converted it to three point rear hitch aswell. He said it ran 3 years ago. For reference im in the north east US. I feel 400 is a good price. What do you think?

Got a 56 massy 65 and she's a workhorse!!! The only thing I don't like about it is both the gear shifter and hi &low range has to be in neutral for it to turn over.

Sorry to pop your bubble. MF 65 produced from 1958 to 1964. There IS no such thing as a 1956 MF 65.

Them MF's 50 are one good tractor. I'd say if you were to run the serial number you might find it to be a little newer than you think. I used to have a MF 125 with a 3 cylinder perkins gas. It has 4500 hours and leaked all kinda fluids and i sold it for 2500 bucks. They hold val.

65 Gas? If it has that Multi Power transmission. Be careful If you in MP and your going downhill you're free wheeling if as though you were completely out of gear. Remember the MF's of that era were TREMENDOUS power take off tractors but were not the greatest for heavy tillage work. You needed a Case, JD or IH for that work. The MF 65 was built from 1958 through 1964 soon after the completed merger of Ferguson and Massey Harris. Replaced with the 165 which was the same tractor with new styling .

The dieselmatic with fluid in tires and suitcase weights on front will pull a 2 bottom plow
@dale7973 жыл бұрын
That is about how much those old tractors are worth! But if the former owners want about $2,000 for these oldies-it just isn't worth it to fix them up because it takes a lot of work and money to fix them up! I know from experience because I just revived a couple of old Minneapolis model U tractors!
