I like that he cleaned up the shop without being asked; it's nice to "give a little extra" when people are good to you, especially when not being asked. Rare to see with the younger generation these days... I like when you do "something extra special" for your customers on jobs too, Ryan.

As a mechanic myself, I’m sure it was in the back of Nathan’s mind that cleaning the shop would impress Ryan, but more importantly, he was probably thinking about having to constantly work around the mess on the floor, working in a clean workspace makes you more productive and less frustrated not tripping over stuff. Good work

Nathan is what you like to call a generational talent. To be that articulate, professional and hard working at his age, in this day and age is impressive. The simple addition of cleaning the shop goes so under the radar its crazy. The best workers I've ever met, in any industry do as good a clean up job and they do the actual job. Bravo Sir. When I was a service advisor, as well as an exterior remodeling salesperson, I sold over 65% of my work on Fridays and Saturdays. You're absolutely right! Honestly There is a lot of guys like Nathan out there, I’m 26 working in diesel shop and I’m very thankful to have a sweet set up for being so young, and I’m sure Nathan has been a good worker never getting recognized till now. I think that’s absolutely awesome

Happy EASTER RYAN, My observation is that your you tube channel is your marketing tool for more business. The stamping of borders and the final product blew me away. I live 40 miles south of Chicago and there's only 1 contractor that I know of that does that creative style of concrete. Great job boss ! Congratulations on a couple of successful days of solidifying work for 2023! That's got to feel amazing to know that you have projects in the books. No doubt your reputation has served you well as far as people's confidence in your ability and the quality of your work. Nathan seems like a good guy. The fact that he went above and beyond to organize and tidy up the shop speaks volumes for his work ethic and for his appreciation for your shop, equipment and you as an employer. It is always a good thing when you leave someone with a to-do list and they wind up doing more than what you asked of them versus having only part of it done and being full of excuses for why it's not complete. I realize you may not have the work for him to stay on once these projects are done and you are out there doing concrete, but it sure would be nice to be able to keep him around! Maybe he'll wanna learn concrete? Haha! Again, great news about your upcoming season. I'm looking forward to the videos, etc. I'm trying to recall whether you posted a couple times per week or whether it was every weekday... does anyone recall? Nate's a good egg, I've known him for over 10 years. He worked for me at Briggs running the dynamometer testing for production audit, break in's, HP tests and a whole bunch of other tasks... never let me down. I'm a bit biased, he has also been dating my daughter for those same 10 years 🤣. Point is, you got an honest, hard working and personable young man working for you. Finally, order came to the workshop and the oil stain disappeared. Nathan did a great job, you should keep him full time, if he doesn't have a mechanic job this season he might want to learn how to work with concrete.
