Great Video. I've often wondered if the Cetme lower would work by swapping parts. H&K prices are through the roof. Always enjoy your videos.

Prices on some HK items have always been ridiculous, but if you shopped around you could build up a nice inventory of spare parts for your PTR-91. But those days are fast coming to an end.

Always found it interesting that they most parts not interchangeable , anyways I also thought I should tell you that a bunch of stuff just came in on bowman arms website , specifically they brought in finished marked and captured dp-27’s and Hungarian dp-27’s , yeah they made them , I had no idea they did but apparently they did , they also showed that their were going to be brining in lend lease Thompsons and mag58 kits ,

No kits for me right now. Funds are not there. The 40 bucks a month I get from KZfaq doesn’t even cover ammo costs

@@psp1921tsmg ouch , no wonder we don’t see new guns on your channel that often , maybe you should consider crowd funding of some soft if you really need the money , like a Patreon or something , although groveling on the ground for money from strangers is frowned on by quite a few people so I see where you wouldn’t wanna do that , anyways hope your able to find a way to afford both ammo and new stuff for the channel , god bless

I’ve been buying parts to assemble a CETME since they’re so cheap and available but I’m making minor improvements by welding on an HK drum rear sight better flash hider (but in keeping with Cold War battle rifle appearances) as well as a different flash hider. I’d like to install an HK front stock so I can install a proper bipod but I learned that the CETME modelo B mounted an FAL type bipod which is also more available and affordable (roughly $80 USD). Once I assemble the rifle I’ll paint it with Duracote ceramic paint in dark gray that simulates a manganese phosphate finish. I’m doing this since the parts have different shades of gray or black and it’d be damn hard to parkerize them equally. I like the wood stock components on the CETME and I plan to buy an aftermarket pistol grip made out of wood to match the other stock pieces. question: my hk clone (semi only) will not reset the hammer after the first shot (cetme parts kit). if i tap or hit the side of the gun, sometimes i can get the next round to fire. other times i have light primer strikes. do you have any ideas on what may be causing this?

Got a question, are all selectors compatible with semi and select fire trigger packs? Or are so you need specific parts per application?

There are different electors for different applications to because of burst packs but I believe most semi packs you see select fire selector that when you put the gun into full auto on the selector, it’s still only fire semi. Also, there is a difference in the selectors between metal packs and plastic packs.

So with that being said a PTR91 with a semi only pack needs not only the SEF pack but the selector as well to function in select fire correct?

@@SinisterPhantom55 BTR 91 with a semi shelf to function on full auto requires registered trigger pack that has been modified to fit the PTR by cutting the front. If you do that without the registration, you create an illegal machine gun then you’re gonna go to jail.
