Just saying, the whole point of the show is to simulate an sas selection, hence the over the top shouting and screaming when a contestant makes a mistake. It's all part of the test and it's the staffs jobs to make it as physically exhaustive and mentally painful as possible so that they see who breaks

I watched one of the earlier series of this, and they grabbed two guys in the middle of the night, put bags on their head and chain cuffed them to a pole in a dark room as an exercise. One of the guys managed to slide the cuffs off the pole and start to move around to get out. While the other was trying to work out how to get off the pole the guy who was wandering around started saying "slide to the left" but how it is in the cha cha slide song. Cracked me up so much😂😂

I don’t really understand why people don’t like Ant Middleton. People say he acts harder than he is but they don’t realise he literally is hard, he served 4 years in the SBS and it really shows how tough he is if you actually watch the show. He screams and shouts because he’s replicating what SAS training is like, plus, in real life and interviews, he’s really gentle. My mum and sister met him and said that he was extremely polite as well

They put sacks over their heads when they interrogate them to try and make the experience as authentic as possible, and to make the recruits that little bit more on edge before they get questioned. This is what happens in actual SAS selection, they spend some time interrogated on a fake scenario. So they do it to see if just putting a bag over their head makes them overreact or whatever. Tldr: it's not just for fun it's to authenticate the experience :)
