My profile is like: 10th 86.6%, 12th 96%, BCom (hons) 7.5 CGPA. Can I expect calls from top B schools whether IIMS or non-IIMS since I am not having a good score in my UG?

Can you define what is poor acadmics ? Ex - 666 , 777 , 888 not for MBB

Ayush, just as I had responded to another comment below, if you see it in the context of the video, I have implied that “poor academics” is any set of numbers that’s below what is required for you to get the job role that you want. For consulting, even a 9,8,8 could be a poor profile. And therefore, comes the purpose of the video that if you are in such a situation, what are the other outcomes that you can/should chase.

Juggernaut, if you do a micro analysis you will realize that different new IIMs have something unique in them. For example, my alma mater gets good Marketing/Sales, and now even Consulting (backend roles). Then, a B-school like IIM Trichy gets decent Finance roles (which aren't the same as Fin roles at IIM A,B,C). Similarly, Raipur has emerged well for Marketing/Sales. Nitesh, if you see it in the context of the video, I have implied that “poor academics” is any set of numbers that’s below what is required for you to get the job role that you want. Everyone gets placements at some of these best B-schools. In fact, non-engineers like yourself will find it easier to get into marketing/sales roles.

Ujjwal, just thinking about the consulting roles may not be enough. Criteria differ from company to company. For example: you might make to consulting role of a boutique/niche consulting firm but acads might not be good for a consulting role at MBB firms. Research on the companies you want to get into :)

10th 56.6% aggregate in 6 subjects, 60.2% in top 5 .CBSE 12th 87% in TOP 4 subjects and 74% in all subjects aggrege. How companies calculate your % if you go for placements if they have 60% criteria will they reject me or accept by seeing my 10th marks and one please assist me😊
