The Dutch soldier must feel immense guilt but the women are right - what the peacekeepers did was disgraceful and they could have protected them if they wanted to.

Places like Srebrenica, Prijedor, Bijeljina, Foča, Ključ, Višegrad and many villages around those places are the reasons we will never let Republic Srpska break away from Bosnia. Those are the places where innocent civilians have been killed in the name of a greater Servia.

It’s always a few at the top telling people that some line on a map is what matters, or a flag, or a book. It’s funny how those few claim that they are the only ones that can protect it, but everyone else will have to do what they say to make that happen. Meanwhile, what really matters to people - food, shelter, education, a decent job, a house, a family, medical care, a chance to retire - gets sacrificed for that line or flag or book, but really to put the few in the position of adoration they crave. Someone should ask them when was the last time they really helped someone with what mattered, when they actually built something up rather than tore something down. They’ll fall back to the line or flag or book, but it’s a poor answer.

There will be no another war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Milorad Dodik created current crisis by dismissing the rule of the Supreme Court on teritory of entity Republika Srpska, just to try to leverage more transfer of funds from state budget because economy in that entity is a disaster. It's just one of his tricks to try to leverage more money for his rule, but enough is enough - there will be no agreement for fund transfer until they take back that decision and adopt all necessary reforms to join EU. Hopefully he will end up in jail. If war breaks out however by some chance, we Bosniaks will defend our country, every inch of it, again and every time our mother Bosnia needs us. Personally, as a Bosniak, I do not blame the Netherlands and Dutch bat. UN deployed young Dutch soldiers, with only pistols and rifles, to protect enclave that was surrounded by Serb heavy artillery and tanks, and Serb forces vastly outnumbered the Dutch. I blame Japan's head secretary of UN, Yasushi Akashi who did not give green light for USAF and USN to take action and to send in heavy armor, marines, and aircraft. He is to blame and the UN. Not those kids from Dutch bat. They didnt have a chance.
