I am Eritrean, and I fail to understand why Ethiopia shouldn't engage in a deal with a specific territory or state, especially when it involves leasing. It could be a mutually beneficial arrangement. This gesture marked my integration into the community of Somali families living far from their ancestral lands in that Ethiopian region. Somalis, in my experience, embody beauty both inside and out. Having a regional power like Ethiopia in this further strengthens its claim for recognition.
