I can assure you as a retired firefighter, there is heat transfer as well. Really the difference, firefighting gloves have moisture barrier.

I came here to say the same damn thing. Was not expecting to hear a 9-Line on a demo ranch video AFTER I got off work from teaching in the sim today with students running CAS. Lol

A 9 line is a call for medivac for wounded which happened to my unit CAS is one of two things it is either close air support or committed air to surface both of them in close support for boots on the ground but it isnt a 9 line, and what is a jfire we had jtacs that coordinated cas and called for air support but it wasn't a nine line

Based on what I just read a 9-Line is a simple concise form of communication used by a JTAC to get a close air support aircraft onto target (Is literally a nine line long brief for a CAS attack including info like target type, coordinates, and elevation, friendly location, egress direction, etc.) the JFIRE is a pocket-sized guide for integrating and synchronizing effects when in proximity of friendly forces and requiring detailed integration. This guide gives tactics, techniques, and procedures to minimize risks while conducting integrated joint and coalition weapons delivery.

@@clothar23 If you're having trouble lighting your fire, you're just doing something incorrectly (which is impressive, considering how simple the process is overall). Also, if you're getting more smoke than fire, you're putting far too many additives into the thing.

@@joe125ful I was terrified the whole time that a round was going to cook off in the mag. Especially when he loaded the shotgun. That's probably why he never loaded more than 2 rounds in the shotgun and fired them really fast.

@@Espo11B Well to happend ammo needs be hot firts and it takes some time also can be interesting burn loaded 1 round in chamber how long it takes to ignite powder.

I don't believe they are foam. I know the fire service uses them out west and in California for their ATV equipment due to the harsh terrain. Hope this helps.

I had a similar thought but i was half expecting the rounds being metal with metal parts heated to almost heat the shells and have a catastrophic failure or boom boom but damn i was sure surprised

@@ccpm8049 Well, I can't tell if it was a cookoff or if Matt just ND'd but at 4:57 there was clearly a discharge that was not intended and it looks like the muzzle was above the berm.

@@armorers_wrench I think it might have been a ND since he was flinching from the heat and might have accidentally squeezed the trigger again during recoil too soon? I could be wrong, though.

@@armorers_wrench I think he pulled the trigger as he pulled his hand back from the heat, if you play it frame-by-frame though it was still on the berm when it went off

@@dirtblock2565 there’s a big push for the euro style helmets here in the states. We recently did a test trial on some of them. There are definitely many advantages to the euro style, lighter, more ergonomic, safer, but at the end of the day most of us decided we couldn’t get away from out traditional brain buckets, lol! I’ll give you guys a ton of credit, you always seem to be ahead of the rest of the world in firefighting technology, so many game changing technologies come from Europe. Thanks Brother.

@@dirtblock2565 Weird, we wore the more modern Bullard style but I do have one like Matt wears. I've always been jealous of the awesome full face helmets used in Europe.

@@brandiwynter yeah the full face visor comes in handy but the latch that keeps them up breaks a lot so if you’ve a broken latch the visor will just keep falling down 😂😂
