@@maths8458 as a christian who veils and who prefers courtship over dating, if i were on this dating show, my veil would communicate a part of my views. If I were to match with the guy at the end (or even during the filming), I would make my intentions and boundaries known-- "I believe in courtship over dating." Just because this is a "dating" show doesn't mean we are dating, a couple, & getting married once the cameras turn off. This dating show is a modern way of meeting potential partners, so I see where Ulla is coming from if that was her intention. I can only speak for myself as a Christian who veils. I am not sure if hijabis share this sentiment, but would love to hear their thoughts!

I would've bet money on him picking Catie or Charlotte, but that may just be my own bias speaking. Also, while Ulla seems super sweet, I am not surprised that she is not his pick. As far as I can tell, he doesn't seem particularly religious, while she clearly is. That simply is one pretty big bridge to cross, and clearly an obstacle to a committed relationship.

It makes you wonder what criteria the test bases compatibility off of. Being similar and overlapping in interests and goals isn't always a sign of better compatibility; sometimes it's those differences that make someone more attractive. In my case, my partner and I have a ton of overlapping interests and goals, but the way we think and the way we solve problems and/or approach a difficult situation are different, and we help each other to see things differently and we teach each other through these differences. Our honesty and trust make it really easy for us to discuss difficult topics, even if we don't always see eye to eye on it. Anyway, I think the one on one definitely gives you a better idea of who you vibe well with and it's possible that if he had more time to spend with Ulla, they'd click better, but that's just not how it ended up working out.
