I think we forget that after the soulja boy era we had a bunch of rappers incorporating autotune, even chief keef I think at one point. We all said it was robotic, or fake etc, then it got wide appeal then it dropped off. Then we had mumble rap at one point which incorporated some autotune as well. With a.i we will probably see the same thing but on a permanent level

Hip-hop Artists need to approach it in a way that's legal.... One of my favorite white artists Tom Waits sued a commercial for using a person who sang like him... And he won because his voice and phrasing is so unique. Hip-hop artists need to use that sort of precedent to own the models. Whichever artist came out first that has a particular voice and cadence type... Needs to be the one that owns the model. And that way it can also ensure that people change up their damn styles.

I think we cooked anyway. Money is the motivator. All it takes is one artist that gets offered a deal they can’t refuse, or labels to bundle this into paperwork for artists or some tricky terms in a big company for up and coming artists, and boom this shit kicks off. I think currency being more than just inflated but overvalued is always the pathway to this.

There is a difference between earning artists, and trying to earn artists. The first group tries to stay relevant so protects their already working product. The second group needs every new tech to try to become relevant. The second group always wins this discussion and will push any button needed to reach that goal. Im just happy that Ai is going to level the playing field. Because the people who simply want to enjoy listening to music, are not going to care as long as it sounds great. They are the market, and they will enjoy music just the same, no longer needing any artist. They just want music. Fans.. of human arists will become a niche. Something im personally totaly fine with.
