Megadeth is easily my favorite amongst the thrash era. Better musicians than most, and a bit more intellect in their lyrics than most. Love it when you guys do Megadeth reactions. This was from the album Countdown To Extinction...their most commercially successful album. I was in Boston College when this came out. Fun times. Great reaction as always. But megadeth are by far the better musicians that are more technical and compose songs almost like a classical song. Talent wise, megadeth blows Metallica out of the water. And that’s no disrespect to Metallica.

So this was their album where they went more mainstream. Hence why you it’s a little more simple and he really refined his vocals. But they have a handful of songs that still have the organized melodic chaos. Trust me. Listen to ashes in your mouth. My favorite megadeth song of all time. TRUST!!! Love the reactions! You 2 beautiful people kick ass so subbed. Solid review and this is one of Megadeth’s more main stream and less thrash metal song. Which made it a popular radio hit. Hope you both had wonderful Thanksgivings. This was our 5th without our oldest daughter Tiffeny. And our 15th without our Grandson Ryeli. But Tiffs Angelversary is on the 30th. That will mark 6 years since her passing. She was 34. 2 blood clots hit her lungs , taking her life instantly. My youngest daughter was 7-1/2 months pregnant when hit by a drunk driver at 7:30 am. She was 25.Ryeli ( my grandson) lived for 7 days passing in my arms. But we did get what we call “ Ghost Kisses” from Tiff early Thursday morning. Her perfume was EVERYWHERE. So we knew she was with us!! And had a really great day. I shared that with you, because of how wonderful I think you both are. Hope I didn’t wreck the mood??!!❤️⭐️🙏

If you like Megadeth there’s two songs off their Cryptic Writings CD, Almost Honest and Trust, I think the lead singer Dave Mustain was going through a rough time with his significant other when he wrote them, but they are two of my favorites by them

Phil As you and Sam know that Dave Mustaine, founder of Megadeth was a member of Metallica before being fired from the band because of his addiction to alcohol. Dave never forgave Metallica for years of firing him. But 9 to 10 years ago, Metallica and Dave mend issues between them and him. Both bands were touring together for many tours. Dave recently battled throat cancer almost to Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson's battle with his cancer.

My favorite one. Always think of this tune at, "Election" time. Lol Fun & Cool Reactions. If you want to see, "Dave Mustaine" with a very young, "Metallica" look into the tune, "Kill Em' All" Mustaine is the guitar player before "Kirk" he also wrote the tune. He also wrote, "The Four Horsemen" But, I laid down his favorite tune while in "Metallica" Peace

This 1992 Megadeth album 'Countdown to Extinction' was in the phase when Dave Mustaine was still trying to out-do Metallica ... Mustaine heard that Metallica were aiming for a crossover album that would take the band away from thrash & speed metal, so he wanted Megadeth to go that route musically w/ their 5th album that slowed down the tempos and sounded a bit more simplified... but still gnarly Megadeth. Mustaine had it confirmed when Metallica's 'black' album came out in 1991 and charted at #1 in the US and was a huge global hit ... All eyes were on Megadeth's response when 'Countdown to extinction' was released in 1992 ... But to Mustaine's dismay, Megadeth's 5th album charted at #2 in the US (Billy Ray Cyrus was the country phenomenon at the time w/ "Achy breaky heart" ... 🙄👎) Still, Megadeth was on a roll... 'Countdown' outsold 'Rust in Peace' going 2x platinum in the US and the band was headlining arenas w/ Pantera in support ... 3 music videos went on MTV ('Symphony of destruction'... 'Sweating bullets' ... 'Foreclosure of a dream' ... 🤘🤘🔥🔥) and songs like - 'Ashes in your mouth' ... "Skin O' my teeth" became radio faves... This line-up of Megadeth: Mustaine (guitar/ vocals), David Ellefson (bass), Marty Friedman (guitar) and (the late) Nick Menza (drums) became the most popular version of the band. However, Dave Mustaine's frustration of falling behind Metallica caused him to relapse on drugs on the road... A lucrative tour of Japan was cancelled on that tour after Mustaine suffered an overdose on the road in America and had to be resuscitated. After another stint in rehab, Mustaine finally decided to make some changes and accepted an offer by Metallica to open a few shows for them and make a peace offering in 1993. Sadly, it only helped somewhat... Mustaine admitted that he was shooting he+++n while making Megadeth's 'Youthanasia' album in 1994. His friends and family ordered him back into rehab and he made another effort to stay clean in the 90's.

I’m 52 and have been a Megadeth fan ever since Dave was fired from Metallica. It’s crazy to think that we wouldn’t have Megadeth if that never happens. Love watching you guys.
