I found out about three old Ford F100s that have not run in a long time going up for sale. Follow along while I give each one a try at life again.

Those old Fords are so high in quality, easy to work on, same parts in most cases for years, long lasting, and just plain good. They can't be beat. Looks like you have a winner there. I prefer the six cylinder, had two of them and loved them both. Put way over 100k on each of them without a major repair on either.

I just bought a 72 Ranger XLT the other day and it’s a long wheel base which I’m not the biggest fan of but it’s starting to grow on me…😂 It’s a nice truck, I think it’s all original. It’s got 2 small holes in the passenger floor pan and the front side of the bed is rusted out but other than that it’s just got a little surface rust. My buddy that went with me, told me about the tool box built into the bed like that. He said he had one like that. I’ve never seen one until just now. That’s pretty cool… 😎

I love the 1972 Red Custom because it has Ford' venerable inline 6 cylinder motor. With today's gas prices it's nice to drive around a truck without a huge V8. I have to admit the air conditioning in the Green one is really kewl though.

The first 2 trucks remind me of mine, which is a 68. Both probably have 360's in them, and your right, a simple carb rebuild, maybe flush the oil once or twice, especially in the second truck, some brake work and you got some ole patina style running trucks! they're so simple to wrench on too honestly, I changed my trucks motor in a few hours by myself with a forklift lol. I think you definitely helped their chances at being bought and not scrapped, since the first two run anyway. These trucks are getting pretty popular too, I've had many offers on mine, but not sure if I'd sell, unless the right offer came around!

I subscribed to your channel for several reasons. One, I like what you do and your no nonsense way of getting all of this old iron running. Second, the one thing that caught my attention is that you don't use a bunch of nonsense words, many that aren't really even words, like several other KZfaqrs do and there's no clowning around. You seem to have areal desire to rescue as many as you can just to save them from the scrappers and get them back on the road.

Yes I agree with your assessment. Of course this is the difference between people and how they present things, and of course the differences in humor and theatrics. Of course this what the mouse is for on your computer much like the remote on your TV set. You can always change channels. There are some of these You Tube presentations that I turn off after the first thirty seconds with some of these channels, but that is my preference. I enjoy Richard and Christines presentations.

Hi I just happened to come across your channel so I figured I'd go ahead and watch. Somebody has to keep saving all the old iron I know if I was in the position with a place to keep them and money to buy them I would definitely do the same thing as a matter of fact I did it's not real old it's a 2000 but it was parked for eight years at least and I've got her up and running I will go ahead and post some videos when I'm able to I have been at least videotaping some of the stuff I do this with my camera it's a pain in the butt to upload videos when you're doing it on DSL. LMAO I always wanted a four-wheel drive my whole life so when I came across one I got it I have to say it's in pretty good condition there's only two small holes in the cab corners so that will be fairly easy to fix they make the panels for them or I'll make them myself. Anyways thank you for posting the videos I love watching the stuff when I'm at home. I'm going to watch a few of your videos and decide whether to subscribe but you always get a thumbs-up for me my friend. Many blessings to you and your family. Well I'll tell you what you got first one started up like a dream that's a damn good engine but that second one you need to do a very good degunking.. it may have good oil pressure but I can tell you about half of your lifters on even pumping up right or you need to do some adjusting I couldn't really tell you I'm not there but and I hate Fords anyway but I love guys that can get them running. I know at least two of those trucks shouldn't have been junked and if they would have kept changing the oil on the second one it wouldn't be in the shape it's in.

That first one you worked on, looks like it's got a FE engine in it, either a 360 or 390 , either way good engines. Only thing is the intakes on the FE engines are part of the heads, at the top and damn those intakes are heavy, all cast iron and weigh a ton! Still pretty good engines! I've had plenty of Ford pickemups too, everything from a 6 banger to a big block 460 FE, that was in a camper special. Hmmm, the second one, looks like same engine, when you first showed them, I thought it had a smallblock in it, but bigblock, better!

When ever U folks go out and want to revive these old Ferd trucks and cars and you see one of them Motorcraft carbs on the motor get another carb the Edlebrocks work nice no matter kind of vehicle and theEdelbrocks are not all outta whack when ya go to fire up an engine unlike Holley carbs seem to be deliberately set not to start the vehicle. The Motorcraft carbs corrode inside because of what they are made out of. I don't ever remember getting a Ford to fire off and run with one them carbs if the vehicle was parked a long long time ago that was probably the reasons. I brought a few back to like with just the carb. Most times it also turns the distributors and spark stuff is gone as well. A young guy that works for me spent a better part of a week having bought 2 new batteries trying to get a 71 F150 running. I advanced him 2 weeks pay to buy a new carb by the time he brought it here it needed a distributor. He has it parked under one of them kit garage tent like things. He really shined up nice wants to get it restored now. Seems the cab mounts and floors are gone which is typical..

Let the choke do its job. Every vehicle you work on you stick a screwdriver in the choke, it’s there for a reason.

There are reasons for that. When a carb is primed with gas, the engine needs more air. Sometimes the choke is broken. Then there are the times when Mystery oil resiidue is in the cylinders. Again, the engine needs a lot of air to fire amongst the oil
