The joy you projected, instantly reminded me of Mustie1, he always gets a kick out of getting engines which have no business coming to life, kicking in with his magic touch. He gave me the confidence and first principles knowledge to tackle and rebuild of dizzy, and both carbs on my 82’ T25 CU engine

How come you didnt remove the valve cover for timing setup as well? thats the normal way - in addition to what you did. If the distriubtor drive is in the wrong place its a good indicator the engine (or the drive at least!) has been apart in the past

Thanks for your comment. I just wanted to get it running at this stage. I checked the Tdc as I swapped the distributor and plugs and wanted to confirm the plug order. I will certainly check valve clearances before this goes into the camper.
