There was a recall you do have to change the fuse box but you also have to cut off some of the clip that holds the seat down on that side,the seat clip is rubbing on the fuse box causeing the issue

Don't forget to trim seat clip about half inch or it will arc out again. Buick has a service bulletin on this and also will reimburse if you had a mechanic do it . OEM PART ON E BAY 200.00

I've been trying to get the 3 grid pieces off the fuse box, the ones held by screws on my '09 Lucerne. My screws won't come all the way out. Can you tell me how they come out so i can look at my wiring? Video is a little dark when you do this. Thanks. Buick should've kept an open recall on this. What smart engineering!

Excellent Job!! I have to do the same thing. That same relay switch keeps shorting out. Did some research and it appears that GM has over looked this! Sadly it’s costing the consumer the unnecessary repairs for their mistake & over looking this problem. Anyway, Do you have a photo of the bad Fuse box? Who like to see comparison from underneath the connections. If anything can you email me or anyone else having this same issue and what other issue this model may have. Thanks Dennis

My 2008 Buick lucrene won't start , the check engine light came on then I cut my car off to go in the store came back out it started them stop Twp seconds later over and over, then it stopped thronging over all together, now my dash lights are off and my radio works my ac works (hot air) and my windows work, remote key control works alarm works. Won't start ..my diagnosis cord doesn't work in the front where auto zone tryd to plug their thinga magige into it

how muchg should labor cost for this repair, I got an estimate from Firestone of 698 for the box and 189 for the labor, that seems high, since I did find one used on ebay for 79 dollars. is 189 a good labor charge

Always say what size sockets or wrenches your using ...

i did this to mind also, cost over $300 for the fuse box. easy job to do, you should have taken your time a bit more and dont rush on stuff like this....Dumb engineers....You also should cut back bracket under seat even though it came with a shorter relay. So the metal bracket does not it the new fuse box when people sit in back seat...
