I wouldn’t say he powercreeps her with his current V1 Kit. DEF shred scales much higher compared to vulnerability therefore making the SW and Pela Combo more of a DMG increase compared to his vulnerability. The only way he powercreeps is by the consistent application of his debuff on the enemies turn.

⁠@@ChillsHSRis it tho? you need both combined to be better then him at S1 so wouldn’t SW + Him be better then SW with Pela. Not to mention only one opponent I’ll have the full Debuff at a time. I know 100% Def ignore is insane but it’s it better then 70%+ Def ignore and with Ultimate Damage I.E Acheron a 113% Vuln? Because I know 100% Vuln is better then like 85% def ignore but any higher then that it stats so switch. So is 100% Ignore better then the 113% + 70% combo I am honestly asking.

@@The_CodFish69 I’m gonna assume that you’re using an Acheron comp and the discussion is about replacing Pela with Jiaoqiu in a double Nihility comp with SW. Pela with his signature lightcone has a higher dmg output compared to Jiaoqiu + SW. Pela with 42% def shred ult + 28% vuln is 65% increased raw dmg. Jiaoqiu at e0s1 is 63% raw dmg for global and 78% increased raw dmg for ultimate.

Once we get more into the DEF shred territory (E1 Mei, E2 Sparkle, Quantum set etc), it’s a very complicated process but Pela generally scales better compared to Jiaoqiu. Both are really good and this for me doesn’t fit within the catagory of powercreep. If you’re interested in discussing more about the math and the details feel free to contact me on discord

Power creeping a 4* I think is fine. You can get through with heavily invested Pela or if you like Jiaoqiu you can get him and he will be the premium version. I think when 5* characters get power crept only a few months apart from eachother that’s when it becomes a problem.

The problem I'm having is I have an E2S1 Acheron. And thanks to Firefly I need to move Gallagher and MC over to her team. So I need another Preservation that can taunt and a healer that can debuff

He looks good but I already have silverwolf / pela for Archeron and she blows through all the content at e0s1. I was really hoping he had the healing part of his kit, because my preservation character is what needs to be replaced. E2 Gepard with trend is solid but his shields aren’t what they used to be.

If you want a good upgrade for your Pela, I would recommend not pulling him but instead pull for his LC for her. If he had healing he would be so much better, but he still has changes coming to him so hopefully that can add more value to his kit.

On optimizer im currently getting higher numbers on my e2s1 acheron team by just getting his sig instead and putting it on pela I think its kind of a problem that the 4 star that he is supposed to replace is better than him when using his sig when he doesnt have it, but that will probably get changed

Not just Acheron getting the benefits but also other hypercarries that has good ultimate DMG also benefits from JQ - All destruction characters (even FF as her enhanced skill deals ultimate dmg and Yunli's ultimate counter att count as ult dmg), except Clara, DoT, all Hunt characters except Topaz, all eruditions.

I heard in a kit update that the devs removed both his healing AND his defense shred. So if that continues to be the case, Pela is safe. Which also makes Jiaoqiu = easy skip imo.

Instead he has vulnerability that stacks better than def shred because it doesn't cap out at 100%. But I'll be honest, I was most excited about the minor healing part of his kit...

I think instead of pela, silverwolf is the one powercrept here. Most of the times we fight against 2 or more enemies for endgame, which is why aoe def shred of pela would be more useful in most scenarios. Not to mention that silverwolf needs more energy regen than pela, which if you don't have the free silverwolf event lightcone, it would be more difficult to maintain her uptime. We also got introduced to the 3 Robot Boss that may hint that we might get more similar bosses in the future, which further increases the value of aoe debuffers. (I am not saying silverwolf is bad, but having single target debuffs/dmg won't really provide as much value as aoe as most of the content are mostly aoe as well)

I’m so glad hsr is going this route with characters. Rather than just down right power creeping they instead give the new characters kits unique enough so that rather than power creeping an older character they’re offering more to the table that the old character couldn’t while still letting the old character continue to shine in their niche.

I'm curious will he be good for DoT teams cus my main playstyle is DoT and I don't have acheron but I do have the all the other Nihility characs who are built, I'm planning on putting him on my DPS Black Swan team where I just spam a bunch of DoT's and pray to God they deal a lot of dmg and that's also where the problem comes in which is Kafka, since I'm my other 3 Nihility with Black Swan I'm stuck with only one charac who can apply DoT's for Kafka and if any of ya'll are confused I'm talking about the 2 way team in pure fiction and MoC, and yes I do have other teams, but DoT is my strongest teams because they are versatile and easy to build I just need a bit of help hihi and if any of ya'll are confused I can explain further than this.

I would say Pela is generally better than Jiaoqiu if you’re looking for strictly DEF shred for these comps. Jiaoqiu is mainly made for Acheron (his debuffs). If you double up Pela + Jiao + DPS it can work as well.

My question is: Is he worth it over Silver Wolf and/or Pela? I use both on my Acheron team and I'm debating his worth vs a soon to be E2|S1 Silver Wolf (Currently E0|S5 Tutorial) Thanks for the video!

He’s not worth it over SW. If you want any sort of benefit from him, I would recommend picking up his signature LC for Pela has it increased her DMG increase ceiling.

@@UltimatePollo3495 reason she's said to be better is, she can more easily apply it to everyone right away, where SW has to do 1 target at a time, thas why people think of SW as being for single target an pela for multi target, an black swans stuff is way better than pelas bu cause you can only hab 1 of her an most people who hab black swan an acheron will hab black swans team, well they'll wan her there

With his current V1/V2 Kit, I would say the only unit he can even help buff is characters like Jade due to the ultimate DMG debuff. Other than that he isn’t really viable, Pela would be better than him (with his sig LC on her)

He will 100% powercreep Pela (though I see him more as a Guinaifen power creep) and seems really good but Acheron already blows everything up for me. Since we know we'll eventually be seeing two generals from different Xianzhou ships (they were teased in the 2.3 live stream) I'm going to be saving everything I get after pulling Yunli for them. Especially Yunli's grandfather, who has ties to Blade. I'm willing to bet he'll end up being a good teammate for Yunli and/or Blade.

At the moment he doesn’t powercreep her at all. If you look heavily into the math, Pela is better in almost every situation. He doesn’t necessarily powercreep as of V1, but maybe that can change if they buff his vulnerability or add DEF shred to his kit.

For E2 Acheron, I would just use his Siganaturr LC on Pela and call it a day. You can pull him and go sustainless if your DMG is good enough (that’s what I plan on doing). He gives Acheron stacks extremely fast (gains a stack on enemy turn)

He doesn't PC Pela cuz no def shred. If anything they are probably getting used together. Pela is just way too good and free. She is still better in Ice Dps comps and def shred has more potential in this case. I think paired together they are going to be great tbh.

TL;DR He's powercrept Pela because if you pair him with Archeron, yes he's the best debuffer for Archeron team. But please bare in mind, Pela is meant for Ice DPS team (Yangqing, Jingliu). Should you pull him? 1. If you have Archeron team and want him to take Pela's place, Yes please pull him 2. If your Pela is fully build, No, you don't have to pull him 3. If you want to whale him, stop at E2S1 because at E2 he can be debuffer and DoT unit.
