Will Jordan gives me the same chills as Joe Rokocoko and Doug Howlett. Class players. Happy I have seen all these legends play against my Springboks.

He and Blackadder were the only Crusaders to carry their form from super to test level, the rest are on notice
@keza412 жыл бұрын
I think you are wrong. Crusaders players were were very good for the first 4 - 5 Tests of the year as were quite a few others. Cody Taylor had been slowly losing form through Super Rugby after a red hot start to the season, he had bugger all form by the time the 1st Test came around. Whitelock is old and slow but he was old and slow in Super rugby as well and as you would expect carried that form through to Tests. He is imo, the best man to Captain the team. Havili had a dream re-start to his comeback if you remember. Reece scored a hat trick I think in his first test of the year, Mo’unga also started the test year looking very good. Who am I missing? They all lost a bit of form as the test season progressed as did quite a few others. But as you say Slackbladder and Jordon started well and carried their form all the way through, Jordy and Reiko did the same. Dmac completely shit the bed.
@razza832 жыл бұрын
@@keza41 The thing is, those first 5 tests were almost meaningless in terms of building towards the world cup. I agree with you about Whitelock, he should be captain, 100%. My main problem was with Moody (dominated by Ireland), Bridge (did nothing of note all season apart from drop a catch) and Havili, who is IMO just not big enough in that position (as shown against SA). We need more power players in order to match certain test sides, we didn't have a Laumape or Clarke last year. Couldn't agree more with you on DMAC aka The Crab..
@keza412 жыл бұрын
@@razza83 Interesting that you keep talking about Crusaders players, what were your thoughts on Brodie Retalic? Because from my point of view he was as bad as any AB on tour but you have given him a free pass. Or are you just interested in criticising Crusader players only?
@razza832 жыл бұрын
@@keza41 I've not given anyone a free pass mate, I just criticised Dmac. I also think ALB is overrated. I agree with you on Brodie, the reason I come back to the Crusaders is that I think they're held in too high regard. Yes, they've won a tonne of Super titles but at the moment, as soon as we step outside of our NZ bubble we get shown up (also not helped by Fozzies outdated game plan). I'm just saying, those last two tests were a reality check.

the phase that really stood out to me was at 6:17 ... look at the vision and the workrate from Will Jordan, especially compared to the rest of the all blacks. you can pause it at 6:22 and get a line up of the whole team, and it could have been anyone of the 7 visible all blacks to be a support runner and get the try. people wonder how Jordan is always in the right place at the right time and gets so many "easy tries". It's because of his phenomenal work rate and how he makes it happen with his vision and impressive physical ability.

It is now December21 - question? So after such dazzling display of skills, what happened against Ireland ? & France? here's my take like Hansen against England 2019 RWC, Foster played all his cards flat out, wore all his newbie & xperienced players out - come to the biggies, BOMB! nothing left in the tanks? Time to think & FIX before RWC 2023 certainly hope so., this is my opinion only.

Sounds like he has a few spare cars still to sell... A bit too bombastic. The "going hoarse" with excitement routine. I prefer the steady commentary-talking of Karl Tenana (often on 7s circuit): He does "obervation" commentary and with "sitting room talk" and the odd juice it up sentence "He's holding a rugby ball like a loaf of bread" etc. Too much pressure to "sell" ruins the commentary imho. Good insight helps too.
