Thank you for posting this. I have a less than two year oven that isn't working and they would not honor a two year warranty. They offered a 30% coupon and I would still have to pay shipping. I would still have to pay $195 for a new oven. I'm not happy and the customer service would not let me speak to anyone else. Very disappointed. I'm looking at other higher quality ovens at this point.

This is what they just told me... I'll commenting in better business bendy after 1 year my service shouldn't be going out like this! I've talked to 2 people now after calling again. . She's like that's not possible.. they wouldn't have done that for anybody and I'm like I heard the entire conversation... 30% is nothing

I'm glad you had a good experience, Jeremy. My DT200 had the top 2 heating elements quit working. It was a Christmas present in 2021 and put into service in January of '22. Spent an hour+ on the phone with customer service just now. The tech checked twice to see if he could make things right to no avail. I own a Ninja blender, a Ninja skillet, a Shark vacuum, a Shark floor steam scrubber. Two other family members have Nina appliances bought on my recommendation as well. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I've generally be very happy with their product performance, but now am having second thoughts on what brand to use or recommend going forward. This oven cost too much to have to replace every 16 months.

I just got off a call w/ Ninja for a FT301 loud noise sounded like the motor or fan seized, gears skipping and you have to keep trying or unplug constant until it sounds normal, prob. til warms up. So annoying, a month before warranty expired and the customer service guy was nice, he said theyd send me a base unit (No accessories) but for "chip in" $20.95 which I assume was for shipping, it is a heavy unit after all, I was ready to pay but then he voluntarily said he could see if he could waive the fee and he was successful. I was pretty surprised and happy w the service I received.

I had the same air fryer. Died at 2 year mark. Got a replacement super easy but that just died at about 1.5 year mark. The only thing they can do now is offer me 30 % off another air fryer and it has to be purchased directly from them. So disappointed. I asked if a lot of people were having trouble with this unit and the agent said no. Hard to believe that with the trouble I'm seeing others have 😢

Bought mine Black Friday (Nov 22) so I’m at 1 yr 3 months 😩. I’m upset bc I love it. I’m going to try calling tomorrow. Mine won’t allow me to change the temperature up on any function, only down. Also same with the time. *sigh

That interaction was so weird to me , like out of nowhere he comes back and says you are getting a whole new one don’t worry! After the warranty was supposedly over 🙄. Half of the time these company don’t even want to honor the warranty before it expires.

I bought mine a little over a year ago from Costco and it suddenly isn't heating. I'm just going to skip calling Customer Service and return it to Costco for a refund. Less frustrating than dealing with their shenanigans.

My replacement is on its way after 11 months of use. I had the same error codes showing and after a quick video call Ninja arranged for a replacement base unit.

My experience just now - I went through warranty call and video call as ours had exact same error code. The unit is 2.5 years old. The agent indicated that they don’t have the base (aka the oven unit minus accessories) in stock to offer me, and was offered a 30% coupon on a new unit with warranty, which surprisingly came out to 50% off, so only $114.74CAD plus taxes, so I took it. He said it’s currently on sale $299 Black Friday sale). I may look into getting extended warranty, but their website is not clear if that’s possible.

I have the DT251 foodi and it’s 2-1/2 years old and it got the same issue CALL CUSt SrVC ERO. All they would do is sell me a new 1 for $200. I love this air fryer but why would I buy a new one if it’s just going to fail again. A 1 year warranty is nothing, but I’m Glad it worked out for you

I’ll tell you what fixes this particular problem….first of all what happen when the door is closed, the control board in the handle, loses connection with the main power board at the rear of the unit near the fan. Why, because one of the 5 wires, in the area of the right hinge, flexes from the door opening and closing hundreds of times, the wire breaks and only makes connection when the door is slightly open. In the video, when he opens the door, and pushes the button and the error er-0 shows, the connection has been restored, but it knows it lost connection. If you keep the door open, and shut off the oven, and turn the unit back on, it will likely allow setting, and will start with the start button, but once you close the door it’ll shut off again. Eventually the connection will continue to get worse until even open it will fail. The fix, cut out approximately 2” of wire at the hinge where it flexes most, and move a new section of wire, into that area, and grapht on those 2 inches elsewhere. Note, it’s tricky to get into the machine, and a lot of screws. There is a KZfaq user that posted a repair of the on off switch(another failure point), with him lamenting the design as being a throw away, (his KZfaq video, has the oven and him holding a rubber mallet, look for it) for being difficult to repair. I posted a easier way to get to the buttons, and the process to fixing the wires, and tricks to getting it apart. It’ll take you a bit, but this issue is repairable if your careful. Mine now works flawlessly! Good luck

This design is definitely flawed and I am having the issue of the lower panel of buttons not working at all.... I assumed it had something to do with the door and my offer from Ninja was to get a new base for 199.00! I paid 250.00 for this so I am looking at other options. I will look for your video to see how tough repairing it oneself is, cause I do use this every day as our oven has not worked for years.

I purchase a Shark ninja Vacuum which was in just 1 month warranty remaining and motor and Cleaning brush stop working i call to the customer service and they send me new motor but brush still doesn’t spin then i call again and they immediately send me whole new unit even after 2 Year.

Hello, Jeremy. I have watched a couple of KZfaq videos in which the trays of the old (damaged) unit didn't fit inside the unit sent under warranty, so be wary. I'm a little bit curious about why didn't you insist or ask for clarification over the three year limited warranty?

Sounds like a scam callcenter with this weird accend and then letting you jump all theese hurdles and giving them your personal data and such. I am here because I have my second dt200 after the 1. One came with a dent, had the ventilator not centered and properly round and produced a weird smell on the smaller back "exhaust" The 2. Unit I have here now doesn't have the dent but has the ventilator so offcentered that it causes an audible humm and produces a little less but still noticable amounts of that smell out of the back exhaust. This oven has such a gread concept there is no other like it but hearing all these dubious things and behaviours in your vid and jn the comments here I really don't now what to do, it's just sad what ninja does.

I can assure you it wasn't a scam call center. Just use the number on the official Ninja Kitchen website and you'll be fine. My replacement oven was delivered just as the agent said. But I recommend always using a virtual card for online or phone transactions just in case of breaches or dishonest employees.
