I think its a great idea. They have the boundaries ahead of time. You give them all the info they need. Its not about not loving them its about loving them so much you want to teach them things they need for the future. Its easier to learn with roots and wings ( you there to guide when things get out of hand) then to be thrown out with not roots and wings. we all have rough moments of growth and change but having someone to guide is always better.

Such a good idea, to teach your kids to be on time and to be ready for the adult world. I am such a stickler about being on time. When I lived in AZ for a few years I loved the car washes there. They did such a fantastic job.

I actually think it’s great, being late is a terrible habit to have cuz you’re not respecting other people’s time. My dance teacher would always say if you arrive 5 minutes early you’re on time, if you arrive on time you’re late, if you arrive 5 minutes late you’re not there

There is nothing wrong with teaching your children how to be responsible. You are also teaching them how to be respectful of others. P.S. don't pay attention to any negative comments. Keep up the good work 👏 👍 👌

I was taught on time is late, 15 minutes early, is on time, and 30 minutes early, is when you're early. I don't know that, that it's necessarily, something you would want to adopt. However, it definitely was good for me. I love that y'all are teaching them the importance of being on time. Be punctual.

Both my parents were always early to everything. So now I'm either an hour or 2 early. It's annoying because like her I wake up all hours thinking ill over sleep even though I always wake up at 5:30 😂

He, and his girlfriend (whom I love) We still celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter together at our daughter and son-in-law's house. It really Is possible to stay friends. In fact at our divorce the was no animosity, and We even hugged each other in front of the judge. She looked at us and said, " Are you sure you want a divorce?

What you did was teach your child responsibility without belittling them. As long as they are old enough to take care of themselves without an adult present, I personally don’t find what you did problematic - as long as you explained to them your decision making process to leave them behind.
