I hope he gets an Oscar this time around. I cried throughout the movie to watch how their father said I have 2 top tennis stars, not just one. King Richard was an excellent movie. Love you Will and Jada nothing but the best for you and your family!

The 2 previous times Will Smith was nominated for Oscars he lost to Denzel Washington 2002 and Forest Whitaker 2007. Denzel is nominated again this year too and he performed Shakespeare. Will won’t win

He did two great films when he got his other nominations, but I think this is the one. I always said he'll get one when the time is right. I think the time is now. I loved this movie. I cried at the end when they showed the real home footage. Amazing work!!

Leo and Brad ain't great,Leo is very good at times. BRAD is a overrated cat,some decent films,Denzel is a all time great,Will is bankable, however not on Denzel level for body of work, a few more roles like this than maybe

This was a film all the different generations of my (African- Carribean) family wanted to watch; that shows how significant the William's legacy has been in sports and culturally, as well as how many people were happy to see W Smith portray their story. I watched this film with my mum and sisters and we loved it. Hope you get all the recognition across the board. Peace and ❤

He was nominated for 2 Oscars but lost out to Denzel Washington one year and Forrest Whitaker another year. But this year feels like Will Smith's year, because he is older now and a much more seasoned actor.

If Will wins it'll be well deserved. Just as it was with Anthony Hopkins or the dozens and dozens of other times non black actors didn't win the award or weren't even nominated.

FINALLY! He’s coming for the gold now! I really hope he gets that Oscar. He truly deserves it. I honestly wasn’t expecting him to get so emotional but you can tell he truly loved this movie, this role, and his cast mates and they clearly adored him back because Aunjanue was so excited for him. I love the support he’s shown to his fellow actors. A true class act.

lli Ba: I didn't see "King Richard," however, I completely agree with your POV. There are many portrayals for which he deserved Oscar Awards. With probably the exception of "I Am Legend;" "The Pursuit Of Happyness," was phenomenal, so were the "Bad Boys" movies and "Hitch."

Smith is definitely the favorite to win the Oscar. I think only Benedict Cumberbatch can throw a curveball, the way Hopkins upset Boseman last year. Benedict could win the Bafta, since he and Will are the only two nominees who are nominated for both Bafta and Oscar.

@@MisterFoxx I agree. But Oscars played with people's feeling like that with all their promos and suspense. That's why people were pissed off. Maker of the Oscar show himself felt ashamed about how they used Chadwick to promote the show.

I wish Will could find tap into this emotion when having to cry on film. The no blinking tear thing is the only thing that bugs me. I am and always have been a huge fan!!!
