What a joy to hear Will Starr again. I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert many years ago. Thanks a million. Greetings from Ireland. Terry.

When I was a small boy about 8 years-old, my father took me the White Heather Show in the old Georgia Auditorium in Vancouver. Will Starr and Robert Wilson were the featured artists. I will never forget the pandemonium caused by the accordion-playing of Will Starr. The next day the show travelled to Chilliwack about 65 miles east of Vancouver in the beautiful Fraser Valley - pastoral farms surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. The people of Chilliwack were heavy into barn dancing, so they too made a big fuss over Will Starr, making him "The Honorary Mayor of Chilliwack" for the day. A time not to be forgotten.

Looks like the Abrerdeen Torry quine June Imray introducing the man with the box whom Robert Wilson discovered. When they played in Stornoway town hall c.1957 hardly anyone turned up which was a big disappointment. Robert was photographed at a dinner 1956 with my late uncle Iain Smith Manager for the Blindie in Huntley st.,Aberdeen before it moved to Kinkers c.1972, both resplendent in kilts and evening Highland dress with my uncle owning both a silver sporan and otter skin.

Hi. I heard a story once that my grans brother was will's dad. Her maiden name was starr and she lived in kilsyth, but she was born 1900ish? Wouldn't that be weird if we were related. Will certainly has our eyebrows lol
