It was black, not white, leaders who pledged to deliver basic rights like schools, jobs and housing to all South Africans. But, eight years on, it seems little has changed: “We have changed only the government, but the system has not been changed. Instead of changing it’s becoming worse,” complains one of the volunteer teachers. Yet Thabo Mbeki’s autocratic style of leadership has made it almost impossible to criticise, and is even earning him some unflattering comparisons with Robert Mugabe. The statistics speak for themselves: with almost one in two black South Africans unemployed, and the economy in danger of collapse, just how much longer can the ‘lion of Africa’ survive?

20 years after this, the ANC still did nothing but degrade SA's infrastructure and systems. And as for the reference to Zimbabwe, that appears to be basically what is happening. Zimbabwe had a 10 year start on SA.

@@kwabenatree What overpopulation are you talking about India has a larger population that the entire Africa yet 10 India can fit inside Africa so I don't understand what overpopulation you are talking about, we are infact we are underpopulated.

@@fideltuda4678 India is overpopulated but the difference between them and us is that they dont complain so much. The things they can do we cant even do 5% of it. They are hard workers compare to us. In india they say it doesn't if your school is under a tree the important thing is that you get education.
