People are underestimating Ice barriers a huge amount, those old Ice barrier monster floodgates are crazy if they can be cheated out. You better have the non-engine out to Lancea or you might as well scoop (one spell/trap per turn lock + one sided handloop/skill drain). The structure deck gave them some very decent cards that people have forgotten about, the level 4 that summons from deck which is a 1 card Lancea, they can even extend through interruption if they open the Icejade Ran or the Cradle.

1 card combo draw 4 with Crocodragon. Revealer special summon Hexa. Hexa dump Magic Mirror (MM). MM add Speaker. Special Speaker. Make Shark, Shark for Frog (Nib proofing). Hexa and Shark for Coral Anemone. Coral Anemone revive MM. MM tribute Coral Anemone for 3 tokens. Make Coral Dragon. Banish Speaker to make a 4th token. Synchro for Crocodragon, draw 1 from Coral, draw 3 from Croco. And if you draw into the Icejade 7 star that makes a token, you can now also end on the new Lancea with 5 cards in hand still. And you can naturally make that combo end with Lancea as well by opening Revealer + Speaker/GEORGE.

Not sure if the new ice barrier stuff will make them meta but it’ll at least get some experimentation out of them.

That ice-barrier synchro is literally a indirect support to Swordsoul. Since swordsoul tuner token is a water attribute.

The Ice Barrier support is legitimately good and make some of their older cards much more decent. Now.. is it a "good deck"? No. But it's Ice Barrier.. we weren't asking for much.

Ive done some testing with the Infernoids, and using the Snake-Eye engine is mandatory to make the deck work with the new support. The deck is basically Decatron mill turbo, and makes 1 or 2 negates/interruptions on your turn, but follows up by making 3 more negations/interruptions on your opponent's turn with Void Feast. Its not bad. And they can go second very strong too, so its very powerful and consistent without being too much of a glass cannon.

Ice barriers are officially playable, folks

I am so hyped for Ice Barrier support, most of these are actually so helpful for the archetype. You forgot some of the best cards like General Wayne which can search any Ice Barrier spell trap and special summon itself out from hand if you control another IB Mon. Some of the best IB cards are the Generals you can cheat in off Zujin like Gantala who is a once per turn Monster Reborn, or Raiho who makes your opponent discard to resolve their effects or they are negated (lingering effect not once per turn mind you making it the best IB IMO.)

Ice Barriers have always suffered because they have a bunch of monsters that don’t have any cohesive strategy and they all do separate things.

This ice barrier support is so good in ursarctic. I dont mind the water lock and some of the high lvl ice barriers like medium i can tribute from hand to activate ursarctic effects and the low level ice barriers i can send to GY off Forbidden Droplets or Ursarctic Departure and then summon them back from GY with Lancea Dragon ❤

You're telling me that the trap card Ice Barrier is not cannon to the Ice Barrier archetype? That's crazy.

MBT misread the Infernoid Link second effect. It HOPT non-target banished any card on field whenever A card is banished from A graveyard, while the link is on the field. Also missed that the first continuous spell's first effect is NOT OPT. NOT HARD, NOT SOFT, you just Card Destruction yourself as much as you want.

Geez, came out the gate swinging with these two....I dread to see what the other two archetypes get.

I've been messing around with the infernoid cards and they are so much fun. Evil is obviously fantastic, I've seen some people try to say it's bad and that you should just play tierra instead but those people are morons, evil only effects you so it doesn't help the opponent, and it provides far more milling, and has a low level so you can summon more infernoids. The spells are both wonderful, blaze-up helps to unbrick hands and resetting your grave is huge for this deck's ability to win games turn 3 or 4. Barrier is wonderful, it helps to give access to decatron because you can banish it from your grave to then add to your hand with barrier, or just summon a high level infernoid from your hand for free. But my personal favorite of the 4 is absolutely Infernoid Flood. Flood is such a cool boss monster, it helps provide an offensive push that doesn't just nuke your own board, it has a really powerful control oriented effect, and should it be destroyed you can just swap it out for an onuncu or devyaty. I see flood getting a lot of hate online, and I do not understand why, it's an amazing monster. and personally I think the fact that it's link 4 is perfect, as it is powerful enough to deserve this and because with some link climbing link 4's are very possible to make. I've heard some people argue in favor of using appollousa or something else like that, but I disagree, as infernoids prefer to have fiends on the field, and thus flood becomes the best boss monster you could make in that deck. That all being said, this deck is not competetive, at least I don't think so. It's a little bricky, your gameplan is very hand dependant, and it loses to macro cosmos. But with all that considered, it is a really fun deck that can hold it's own against stronger decks, even if it isn't quite as consistent or flexible as them

MBT, that trap allows you to send an OPPONENTs card to the bottom of the deck, it doesnt specifically target yours. It's a good effect, not a great effect. It can hit field spells or backrow.

Hey, you know how, in the past, there were unplayed decks and played cards that warped how cards were made and decks were built? Like how we attack being forever changed by Gorz, or how people built decks being changed forever by the risk of Pendulum Soup, Towers cards, and stuff like that Ice Barriers now feels like a known-quantity deck that everyone will need to build their decks to be capable of outing, because any deck that doesn’t is immediately weaker. But because that’s what they’ll have to do now, it won’t even be jank tier

Ice barriers can go plus 5 off 1 magic mirror master and speaker in hand. Summon magic mirror, ss speaker, send speaker for 3 tokend, banish speaker for 1 token make croco dragon of master and tokens draw 4 and add freezing chains or georgious whichever you need for extension and extend from there.

Love seeing some better cards for my deck I've gotten way too attached to despite being kinda bad

To be honest , ice barriers , right now after i tested them up . Are one of the most consistent and dominant deck i ever played , they beat every deck that u could imagine if they start . But are weak against a pre-established board with more than 2 negates . I lit had a 32 winstreak . No bad hands because they have a lot of searchers , and lancea carry the deck by his own

I spend 10 minutes to read the effect of every single ice barrier, there are two good floodgate One Is anti spell but it's a Monster, the other Says your opponents can activate 1 spell/trap each turn, so it's not useless, non the best buy something

Good stuff Looks like instant fusion + foolish burial is full combo for Infernoids now so Thrust should be run at 3 in that deck. (FB the highest lvl infernoid first then IF the Infernoid Evil to banish it from gy and mill everything you need)

Id like for some pendulum ice barriers. It would help with the summoning of multiples ice barrier monsters.

TBH I don't care is just Ice Barrier support that isn't the one they provided after the Structure, we don't talk about it. And as they're my favorite deck of all time I love seeing them love. Although I know for a Fact I'm going to lose everything trying to get 3 copies of the Main Deck ones and only one Copy of the Synchro.

could we like not try to make a deck playable which's entire identity is to prevent the opponent from playing the game. there are far more deserving of support archetypes that had no support before and try to actually play a 2 player game

I disagree the thing that makes floodgates balanced is the the lack of search ability or its doubled sided having a boss monster that allows easy access to a anti spell, sort of skill drain and a perm negate attack is actually very strong also having the ease of being able to put damage on not to mention toad and icejade and the kragen lock exist

I can't wait for the Infernoid support. Probably my favorite deck ever :)

Holy shit man every time I see new cards getting printed I am slapped in the face with the reality of this game dying, not the playerbase no but holy shit cards are horrible now a days due to power creep. Not just floodgate turbo anymore but like I can't actually believe a level 6 tuner special from hand, monster reborn, silent graveyard is at all healthy in any card game world (although punks and stuff do exist I don't know all the cards)
