Should see it down south .so many beautiful places we sure are the lucky country. I’d rather go around Australia than go over seas I’m a Aussie I’ve only been up and down the east coast of Australia.some of the islands in Queensland are stunning .👍😉

I didn’t appreciate the awesome size of that magnificent reptile until I saw Fred carrying the tail on his shoulder. It was an ABSOLUTE killing machine but it needs to be kept under control, hence the importance of the Rangers jobs. Keep up the good work Kathy Fred and co 👍🏻

@13:22 I wish I was 20 years younger and lived in Australia. I'd love to protect this young lady from the dangers in the outback....but I'd wager she would kick my ass and wind up saving me from a croc instead. Beautiful land, beautiful lass.

At least the odd crocodile that they have to kill doesn't go to waste and feeds the locals.

Like it or not, every creature plays a role in ensuring a successful ecosystem. Even the pathetic rodent. They're useful because they're a food source for a lot of proper animals. They're worthless otherwise but they feed predators. Plus if people weren't so stupid and self entitled, most of them wouldn't get attacked by sharks and crocodiles.

Really neat outdoors docs. I'm not seeing folks wearing hearing protection around scenes re: firearm discharges. What's with that? Are AU rangers 'immune' to damaged hearing? 1 might think it would be an important aspect of AU gubmnt bushcraft. I didn't see a single example of anyone putting in/on hearing protection. Did I miss it, or maybe the rangers are using 'new, special cartridges that make a less harmful discharge sound. I want some of that. Where can we get it?

I completely agree. Every year thousand of people are killed by crocs . In Africa and other countries. Often women and children are taken because they have to fetch water from the rivers. And even so locals are forbidden to kill the deadly crocs.

What i don't understand is why shooting the buffalo from the air is in the locals favour the lady ranger said if we shoot it and its only injured and still alive and aggressive it will more than likely cause problems for the locals. Is that still the same shooting it from the Air? Unless they make sure they kill the huge beast and in doing so protect all living things around the immediate area. PS I just want to thank all these people who put their lives in danger protecting kakado and all of the territory Words of wisdom from Johno a million bucks is only peices of paper and nothing else whereas land and country is priceless and it's what we Humans need to focus on instead of trying to manipulate everything for monetary gains greed corruption and materialistic outlooks are our worst problems. We must focus on living for the moment and caring for our friends and loved ones and stop focusing one building an empire. The simple fact is we can't Take it with us and if we leave a vast amount of cash to our children they will not have the same amount of reality because with money comes evil and greedy people who will stop at nothing to get their hands on some of that money especially your so called friends. You find out who your real friends are when the chips are down.

it's hard to run away from a helicopter. if they shoot it on the ground and it runs away and they lose track of it they don't know if it's dead or still running around wounded. from a chopper they can follow it and make certain it's down, there's also the safety aspect, you need a large rifle to shoot buffalo shooting from the ground a stray bullet can go a long way and still be deadly from the air the bullet will hit the ground.

Shooting from air no danger to people the beast can't get away from helicopter 100 percent kill because of that its the most humane way.

Mark Whelan, I totally agree with you on your last part of your comment. I'm finding out who my friends are at the moment. My brother passed away last year and my best friend passed away 3 months ago. I have literally no money and live alone. So I'm finding out the hard way who my real friends are. The answer?? Absolutely nobody.

They've to shoot the buffalo by air because the lady ranger is a shit shot, and the only one with the good shot can't even hike the trail to where the buffalo is. That's why they've to pay for fuel for the chopper yo fly him in to shoot the animal.

Why couldn’t you just relocate the trouble Crocodile instead of killing it? Or is it more about giving the local community a delicacy that they enjoy?
@NovemberSky3
@NovemberSky3 Жыл бұрын
Sure, let’s put people in a position that’s not 100% necessary with the world’s biggest reptile, biggest crocodilian, and one of the most dangerous and aggressive creatures that can easily overpower a group of people. It’s like saying why don’t they just relocate deer instead of hunting them and killing them? Except a deer isn’t likely to kill people walking by.

rangers should be more proficient in shooting. she missed and wounded that crocodile and the water buffalo is a easy shot with a scoped rifle...just like the one she had. again she's not confident and it shows

I had that same conversation with my ex when I lived up there, if you aren’t a good enough shot to kill, don’t take the shot. After watching the first episode I can’t believe she holds the position she does. She was a snack waiting to happen walking along the edge of the waterhole with a massive croc in residence.

That is an idiotic position to take as it doesn't reflect reality, just your warped vision of reality. What is done is done; the only thing is to keep these wretched killers under control so they don't threaten human life. The whole damn species is not worth one human life

Buffalo and pigs destroy the land quickly and are introduced. The population of crocs are huge at the moment, they are probably due for a cull so the fish, turtle and other species can grow their numbers back.

A croc used to human presence will continue attacks until it's put down. This one would have eluded capture for a long time to end up like this. Also, there's hundreds of thousands of wild crocs in Australia they have to look out for. Also, hear what she says between 15:25 onwards
