I just purchased two EVM12L's from 1988 and installed them into a Marshall 1936 cab. I've been considering moving them into the Mesa 4x12 cab I have, either in an X pattern or on the bottom of the cab... or even getting two Thiele cabs for them, but wanted to hear what they sounded like blended. I looked on KZfaq and only found one video with these two mixed... and it sounded pretty bad (phase issue? Who knows. It sounded crap).
I hadn't played them both together as the 2x12 is 16ohm (2x8ohm speakers) and the Mesa is 8 ohm. However, after checking my Boss Waza Manual, it is fine with any ohm cab as long as its over 4ohm. 16+8ohm is 5.33ohm. I was in business.
The issue is that the 8ohm cab gets twice the signal level in this setup - so I compensated on my interface. What you hear is a perfectly balanced signal.

In part 2 I'll stop talking and just play, and will cycle through different amp models as well as through a Mesa Boogie Mark IV.
