They turned 1 chapter of the manga into a full fletched 25 minute episode flawlesly ...great stuff

That Anya chase sequence with the music was so fire, each episode gets better and better.

This is probably the closest Loid vs Yor fight we’ll get but imagine if they had a serious showdown…that would be cool yet scary to see at the same time, but drunk Yor fighting was already scary enough. And I’m pretty sure we know who would win anyway.

This episode really broke my expectations. I didn't think the castle scene would be so good. I love how Anya is experiencing her first moments with her cherished parents since she could never really enjoy basic things due to her past (which I hope we get to see more of). And Loid being the perfectionist is clearly raising bars here. Love their bonding so much!!

Franky is having way too much fun being Anya's fun loving uncle that likes to troll Loid.

The fact that Yor was throwing hands and feet to the point that she obliterated Loid's gloves Shows that she wont stop until she brakes through your defenses

WIT and Cloverworks went so hard this episode for no reason. 80% of the stuff that happened in the castle was anime original. In the manga there was no plane too. They just arrive at the castle. They called the agents and after anya gave out the rolls in the ballroom it immediately went to yor beating loid's ass. The other agents didn't get involved they just watched. There was no quiz, or fight scenes, or shootout, or explosions. They are somehow making an amazing manga better in every way.

9:39 I love how Twilight questions why a witch would use physical attacks but not why Yor is so strong and good at fighting.

Can we talk about how beautiful Yor’s fighting sequence is? I love how she used real life fighting techniques and it really showed how much of a beast she actually is!!!! Love her

Luckily for Loid her heel snapped otherwise he would’ve caught the swiftest kick to the face💀

The anime original content used here to further flesh out the adapted content and gets us more attached to the family was probably the best decision made by Wit's staff for this episode.

The other spies were probably happy to have a bit of fun for once. A chance to let loose, have a laugh and see their best agent at work!

Twilight really blew through the government budget and resources to take his fake daughter on a field trip. I love this show. 🤣🤣🤣

The bill was Dalcs, not Yen, a made up currency. Also in the manga there's several tickets ( castle, furniture etc...), so it's probably much more than 8000 hidden behind.

My favorite bits about this episode - Scruffy being a good uncle. Being a bad influence on Anya, really playing along with the play, and making sure Loid spoils the shit out of her and also trying to make him play along. - Yor getting fucking sloshed, doing the :> face, and Loid probably thinking something like "wow, she's a mean drunk". - A whole like battalion of top-tier secret agents, them going along to the best of their abilities, with helping the guy they look up to, thinking the whole time this is part of the plan, all to make this little girl happy, and just to reiterate, just so we're clear, still thinking that infiltrating this children's theme park to make this little girl happy is all part of the mission that will bring about world peace. - Apparently this wasn't like this in the manga; it originally was just like playing pretend in their house, the anime decided to flex it's budget. They didn't have to do all this, and I like to think the bit at the end with the director getting the bill is some kind of in-joke with the animators.

Fun little fact for you since you enjoyed seeing Yor getting drunk and almost laying waste to Loid, in comparison to her who’s a lightweight (and also drunk way too much), Loid can’t get drunk. It was cut out from the manga, but when they’re at the table eating and drinking, in the manga Franky asks him why he’s not drinking heavier to celebrate, to which he replies by saying that he can’t get drunk anyway because of the resistance he developed to alcohol because of his training and job (with Franky replying that that’s really sad). Oh also $8,000 in today’s money would come to somewhere around $71,000.

I love how Franky went from not on board with Anya at all to being her fun uncle in less than a week. Such is the power of Anya.

Real MVP's of this episode were the agents. Literally could've been used elsewhere but least they gettin paid.

Loid after hearing that Anya would be able to get into the school after all: "That's insane!" Loid after getting his ass kicked by his Perfectly Normal Wife while she's drunk and wearing high heels: "I see nothing suspicious here."

They actually use dalc for currency not yen. Apparently 1 dalc is around 320 yen, so it should be around $20000. If we take into inflation into account(assuming the anime takes place in older times) it's around 200k in todays dollars.

You know a channel is good when you pick up a show just to watch the reactions! EDIT: A quick note, when I was pretty young I was actually suprised on my birthday with a helicopter ride around the goldengate bridge. We'd been visiting friends in San Fran from the UK, and I will never forget the pure happiness of hearing that news and getting to go up in a real life helicopter. My parents never had a lot of money, but they made the effort knowing I'd always wanted to be a pilot. It was something that came rushing back to me seeing them get in the plane here: for the parents out there, this stuff may seem like a waste of money, but your kids will truly remember it for the rest of their lives.

If you notice the arial view of the tower at 8:33 , there's a safety net underneath, so no one would die falling off the edge. They ARE at a theme park after all. He was actually blushing all the way to his ears out of embarrassment. That's why they were so red. Yor told him she was an expert at self-defense, so he wouldn't find her fighting skills suspicious at all. $8000 back then was a bit over $70,000, I believe.

I like to think that this government spending not only made Anya happy but also took time off from all the agent to play/test their skills with Loid (which they admire the most). In their line of work, this is the closest they can have as a fun convention of sorts.

I have good news for you, it's actually 25 episodes scheduled for the show, not 12. It's split cour though, which means the last 13 will come out in a later season. I imagine fall of this year, usually a 1 season break, but I don't think there's anything official yet stating when? Also honestly, it's a Shounen Jump title that is absurdly popular right now, and considering the pacing of the show there's enough content for another 25 episodes afterwards if they wanted to. Gonna have SpyX for a while I think :D

I think an underrated part of Loid and Yor together is that they are basically Brawn and Brains. Loid excels in social settings and infiltration, but Yor is the expert in combat with her inhuman strength and skills :) In a work setting they would be unstoppable together

I never read manga until after a season ends normally, but I went and checked this chapter after watching the episode and literally the whole castle scene is like... 9 pages. They added a TON to this episode, Cloverworks and Wit are blowing this show out of the water with the amount of work they're putting into it, my mind is boggled at how hard they're going

8:30 If you watch the scene where you see the cross-fire, looking down the tower, you can see that there is a net. So even if the henchmen fall, they won't die. Loid is the only one doing the actual dangerous stunts, like the zip-lining with his belt, pretty sure there was no net under him.

Yor delivered some of the cleanest hands I've seen in anime. Goes to show you don't have to be the lead character of the anime to be considered a best girl.

The scene of Yor killing another student’s dad in her mind was much more brutal in the manga. She murdered a whole ballroom full of people! Anything for Anya!!!

They added so much more to this episode than there was in the manga and I love it!!!

Wit Studio flexed so hard with this episode, put they whole foot into that filler content and made it 100x better than the manga chapter. They even had me genuinely questioning for the first time who would win if Yor and Loid would ever fight, even with me being fully caught up with the manga it just never made me think about that. I definitely got all my money on Yor tho, no doubt.
