Will Things Get Worse in the End Times? Matt Chandler Explains

Matt Chandler, pastor of The Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas, sees "embers" of spiritual revival popping up all around the nation, even as chaotic cultural conundrums seem to be increasing. "There's been an earnest desire to see God do something significant for a long time," Chandler, author of the new book "The Overcomers: God's Vision for You to Thrive in an Age of Anxiety and Outrage," told CBN News, noting that last year's Asbury outpouring, mass baptisms, and other events show an elevated spiritual fervor breaking out in various areas of the country.
The preacher said he believes these events have helped inspire the faithful. "For those who are outside of a smaller group that have been really kind of contending for this and asking God to do this, it put it back in ... maybe the center of the imagination of what's possible," Chandler said. With culture always marching toward the end of days, some have wondered, biblically speaking, whether the consternation and events happening indicate we're now closer than ever.
Some might assume revival or spiritual outpourings won't happen as the end draws near, but Chandler believes both can unfold, simultaneously "I think they absolutely will happen at the same time - that it will get better and worse, simultaneously," Chandler said. "More than the Bible paints a picture of things getting worse, and worse, and worse, and worse, and worse until the Lord comes, it paints a picture of both happening."
He believes Jesus referenced this very thing in Matthew 13:24-30 when he talked about wheat and tares growing together until the "harvest comes." "The wheat and the tares ... they're growing up together ... until the harvest comes," Chandler said. He also pointed to other end times verses to make his point that some people might be misreading Scripture in assuming everything will simply be terrible in the end.
"The Bible says that people will be getting married and given in marriage, just like they were in the day of Noah," he said. "It's an ordinary time. There's horrible things; there's beautiful things. We're just going to be getting married. We're going to be doing the things that we normally do, and then the end will come." Watch him explain.

Jews believe in one God, which is central to the Jewish faith. This belief is called monotheism. Trintard (Pagan) Christians believe in one God, known as the Father. This divine Godhead consists of three parts: the father (God himself), the son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit. Judaism has prohibited eating pork and pork products for thousands of years, along with Islam. Trintard Christians eat pork because God has declared it clean. 1 Timothy 4:3 says that pork is one of the foods God created for people to receive with thanksgiving. According to Jewish law, circumcision is a commandment from God that all male Jews and their slaves must perform on the eighth day of birth. The New Testament does not require Christians to be circumcised. Instead, Christians are encouraged to be "circumcised of the heart" by trusting in Jesus

I'm disappointed that this pastor hasn't bothered to really discuss the Revelation of Christ when interviewed on what Bible says about the future. At 11:30 he critises others for spinning moralistic sermons, yet this is the only real content of this whole interview! People need to get to know the Book, and Who the Book is about, not forming our opinions based on what we value, but on the One Who is....

It IS getting better and worse at the same time. Holy energies are being poured onto earth right now. Can anyone else feel it? The divine being present makes those stuck in fear, get more scared, and those turned to the light, closer to the light.

Matthew 24 (KJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. ²² And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. It will be the worst time ever physically. The Christians will have to endure terrible hardships. But those times will bring them closer spiritually to Jesus, or they will fall away.

Yes it will...if anyone ever even read the first book in the word!! You would know the tribulation or (test) comes in horrible waves before christ returns!! There is no question about that. There is no pretrib rapture. There is no in context scripture supporting that!! Throughout the new testament christ tells us we will be persecuted and tested!! There is no bigger stumbling block than people claiming There will be a pretrib rapture!!

Matt 24, book of Daniel, Revelation and its reality. So is there no God? Oh there is a God. They don't say end times are called the latter days. (End time harvest.) This is talked about all throughout the whole of His word. Isaiah all the way to Revelation will tell you of this time. So if this is a myth you just went against a word that comes not void. Isaiah 55:11 Amen. To Him be the Glory!
