They blew the engine mid day Tuesday, I towed them a donor truck on Wednesday, and the were ready to go back to work Thursday afternoon. That’s pretty damn impressive!
Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! I was never a fan of the Patreon idea until I realized that I can use it to help others instead of myself, so I created the Patreon Project where we can all combine our efforts to make a real difference in people's lives and make the world a better place! For as little as a dollar a month you can join the group of awesome people already on board and be vote to help steer the ship along the way!

The difference in down time is motivation…. The tech’s “working” on yours got paid whether they fixed it or not … the loggers knew they don’t get paid til the truck is running…

2.5 days downtime for a blown motor, pretty impressive. The big difference between your truck taking 8 months to fix and his truck taking 2.5 days is it took your mechanics 7 months 27.5 days to figure out which 24 cent part went bad. In his case it took 0.31 seconds to figure out 'oh, the motors broke' and he had that done before it stopped rolling.

@EyeMWing
@EyeMWing Ай бұрын
They've got a few advantages in the cleanliness department. Old truck engines have a tendency not to explode all over the shop because all the components are huge and heavy and annoying to lift and you've got a big ass crane anyway so you may as well leave them on. Cars and newer trucks have all sorts of wiring and plastic parts and bullshit you need to switch over, so you end up with piles of duplicate not-quite compatible parts.

I put steering in the same category with brakes, yeah its helpful but the brakes tend to slow you down and steering will basically go along for the ride. As long as you don't hit a pothole they'll stay pointed straight so it just a useful item but not necessary for speed!!!

ENJOYED THE VIDEO! Lots of work done so quickly AWESOME Job to those guys!! Not surprised, very irritating, and mind blowing how individuals can get things done better and faster compared to the months it takes a business that is specialized to do the job, equipped with every fancy tool, and have multiple people to do the work. Businesses are being paid to do a job but most of the time not done correctly, of course so they can control the time and money. Never understood you pay to have a job done, lots of money but the people doing the work dont want to do the job or do it correctly and act as if they are the boss over the person paying them. Be Safe! Keep Your Head Up! 👍
