Start attempt of a 1977 BMW R100RS that has been sitting for 34 years. The original owner of this bike hit a cat on the way to a rally at night. To let his friends know what happened, he placed this "It was a cat" sign on the damaged fairing. The owner rode the bike home and parked it - for MANY years. I purchased the bike and finally after months of work, we attempted to start the bike.

Keep an eye out for a Harmonizer. I got mine a couple years ago and it in my tool kit along with a set of mercury sticks.

Did you get the digital harmonizer? I've seen others use it at various Tech Days, seems to be a valuable tool to have. Do you have a suggestion of brand/model you like?

@@andymueller82 I have one of the original designs from Grok (on advrider). Katdash bought the design and sold a few more and I clicked on thier link at the right time when they were available. They sold out in a couple days. Its a nice tool to have. I built my own using ATF. That one is really finnicky. The difference in density between oil and mercury is significant and it shows in the tool. I've seen other tools but havn't used them.

Hi Roger, really appreciate the feedback, I made these videos before ever thinking about posting them on KZfaq. It caused quite a few copyright issues when I did try to post some, so now I know not to have identifiable background noise (i.e music).
