Lets be honest the last two episodes of Gentleman were the Gentlewomen show. Zarnab & Mifra's clash wow, the intensity & how controlled both yumna & sohai were. Those fake smiles ,Mifra trying to taunt Zarnab & Zarnab stabbing right through Mifra's ego .Im sorry but they both have more chemistry, lol 😌❤️

After watching ZPKB, all other dramas look so mediocre with shallow plots revolving around just mohabbat , ishq, shadi. Beautiful story and dialogues. Serious, sensitive real issues are depicted with comic touches here and there. What a character Chacha Afzal is. The historical story made up by him, and villagers responding by, “ Mughals aur angrez sarkari nahi thay, doctor sarkari hae”, was too good. 😂😂 Missed Roshan in the episode, another very good character being well performed by the new boy.

ZPKB: I think you guys should allot more time to it especially because Hassan seems overly interested to dissect Gentleman scene by scene while making a very general view of ZKPB. Aamna ma’am tries to equal both with picking equal amounts of nuances in both dramas. There are so many small nuances in the drama that should be discussed. I remember having the same complaint during JSA reviews as well. Please consider this as well. I enjoy Jaan Nisaar review however long it may be. Gentleman: I like how defensive Hassan has become once the drama became a great watch while Aamna ma’am is being reasonable and fair

I don't feel that. I kinda agree with Aamna. It seems like too much dialogs without much story. If you think about it from beginning, how has story proceeded? It just feels like KRQ wanted to show off some dialogs and put them in a show without a skeleton. The only saving grace is amazing actors.

Hassan, I agree with Amna about Gentleman. ZPKB has extremely well written dialogues and conversations but they don’t feel cumbersome and heavy when the actors are delivering their dialogues and performances. Gentleman is missing something and that, in my opinion, is an organic/ human level interaction. It feels very filmy and reminds me dialogue baazi of 80s /90s Bollywood movies. Just need Munna to break out like Shahrukh khan. While watching ZPKB I feel I am a part of the conversation, I feel I’m inside the village. Gentleman feels too performative, even though all actors are acting well.

ZPKB: That Kaiser Kallan's tale by Ali Tahir was hilarious. Akbar was the son of Shahzada Saleem, and the British people came to Kaiser Kallan for Anarkali. Mustafa Afridi wrote a similar piece in Sang-e-Mar-Mar for an Afghan story. This drama tells us what the role of a molvi should be. He uses his influence in the right direction rather than provoking religious sentiments and creating the intolerance that we see in our lives. This one episode has so many social messages: child labor, physical and sexual abuse of employed minors, the influence of politics and its misuse, and how bullying in college impacts hardworking students. Yet, these issues are conveyed in such a way that one can't help but root for more and more.

Some things never change in our dramas. --Biggest ‘masla ‘ of the world is shadi according to our dramas. --Shadi somehow breaking right when the functions are about to start. -- Relatives, neighbours gossiping and bitching in front of the victimised family. -- Izzat getting hurt by every action of daughter. -- If not shadi, women like Nausharwan’s bhabhi, Faras, Mifras throwing themselves at men who are already taken. -- Toxic characters. What is least shown in the dramas is emphasis on education, career and empowerment. That is why ZPKB is such a breath of fresh air.

Gentleman: Unpopular opinion, but I find Mifra's character quite intriguing, portrayed convincingly by Sohai. Although I don't condone her actions, I appreciate her honesty and straightforwardness. Mifra appears genuine in front of Faris, openly sharing her thoughts and showing a deeper understanding of him than he has of her. I admire how she lays out the facts about his cheating, giving him a reality check to make him reflect on his behavior. Her candid discussions about her feelings and expectations, along with her straightforward approach, make her character engaging despite her flaws. And of course, how can I not mention that face-off scene with Zarnab, which was a standout moment in the last episode!

ZPKB: As a doctor who's posted in rural areas of Bangladesh, I face the exact same situation(like the old man shouting for why there's no medicine, or keeping good relationship with village chairman) what dr. Nowfil is facing in kaiser-kala.. That's why it feels so relatable to watch.. And also think that, be it Bangladesh or Pakistan, the society problems are the same

ZPKB: While Sajal is stealing the show as Meenu with her flawless acting, must say Hamza has been well cast as Dr Nofil. He nailed the sincere young doctor look His clothing, his specs, body language, everything is well suited for the role. His expressions of surprise anger, frustration, everything is spot on. He is not someone running away but he is just too miffed with the way things operate here. Especially after his encounter with Malik and his ways. Dr Nofil realized there is no good cause and its a facade. Only Meenu is sincere and but he can't risk his career. I think he is coming across as a really strong character . I haven't watched any of Hamza drama apart from breaking news, and I think he is v good in both these dramas

7:12 - Well, it’s a bummer that Gentleman will only have two episodes a week for just two weeks before returning to a single episode. Given how the drama is progressing, it would be ideal if it continued with two episodes per week. Also, I'll frankly admit I’ve really gotten used to the pace of dramas with two episodes, so I’d love it if more shows followed that format. 🥺

gentleman: that’s the beauty of kurq sahab’s writing. the point is to put the thoughts out and “teaching” the audience without directly doing it (i hope that makes sense). Everyone knows these are the words of khalil sahab, be it any drama: Landa Bazar, Dil hai ya Diya (idr the name), Lal ishq, love life aur lahore, etc., all characters speak their lines like this. The more connected a person is to khalil sahab’s dramas the more “used to it” and “normal” it feels. It’s not meant to be realistic yet it’s meant to show a truthful, entertaining and a self explanatory thing. that’s the uniqueness of kurq’s dialogues. also the drama is a sprinkle of perfection, love it sm ♥️

I believe that negative or toxic characters and scenes are easier to write, which is why many drama writers choose this approach. As a result, we often see 60-70% negative scenes in low-quality dramas like "Jaan Nisar" and "Bayhadh." However, it is commendable when writers produce high-quality dramas such as "Zard Patton Ke Bunn," "Gentleman," "JPJ," and "Radd." These dramas are not dominated by negativity; instead, any negative elements arise organically and interestingly.

I think the way “number of views” is used to determine the popularity of a drama is a bit skewed. For example, a lot of us watch most of these dramas at 1.5, 1.75 or 2 times the speed; others fast forward through many parts - and then there are those people like me, who do both (1.75 speed, plus skipping). The view count doesn’t factor any of this in. Granted, it’s still a “view” (or partially viewed), but there’s a difference in dedicating 40 minutes of your day to watching a drama versus getting through it in less than 10 minutes (Jaan Nisaar, Radd, Noor Jahan, and more!) That’s a better indicator of popularity and/or substance, or lack there of. There are very few dramas I watch without skipping or accelerating the speed - ZPKB is one, and Mrs. & Mr. Shameem was another. I don’t want to miss a minute; you absorb yourself into the story & the characters.

Words wohi hai bas words ke saath play kar ke kaise usse royalish feel di jaye that what Khalil saab does. And WE LOVE IT. And neither none of the talks were extended way far. Story needs to progress. This is not Hollywood show ke kuchh kahe baghair character just act n laug khud samjh jaye. Sadly due to lack of education sab cheezein dekhni parti being writer so time to explain character and their motive for the act 2 of the story all the conversation were needed.

When I watch Danish characters like Nosherwan , his love gaze often feels lustful, making scenes cringe. It comes across as if he's driven more by physical desire than by genuine affection. This makes the scenes feel uncomfortable and a bit vulgar. On the other hand, when I see wahaj as Murtasim, his gaze was so serene and romantic. It reflects deep emotions and a true connection, without ever feeling vulgar. His eyes convey a heartfelt and genuine love, making the romantic scenes enjoyable and relatable. For me, Murtasim's portrayal captures the essence of a loving relationship much better than Danish's.

Their interactions were so serene and natural, evoking a genuine sense of intimacy that feels authentic and sincere. Unlike many dramas where romantic scenes can feel forced or cringe-worthy. I have watched it at least 6 times. PS: Thank God that you guys are so rational because apparently we have an actress sitting on a tv show reviewing the drama and she doesn’t understand Urdu at all. I am sorry for saying this that she is so stupid that not only she doesn’t understand urdu, she also completely sold her husband out too in the show. She said that He is so smart but even he couldn’t understand the conversations. Imagine sitting on tv, reviewing urdu dramas and you don’t understand urdu or metaphorical urdu. Agree. When she talks to Faaris, her change in expressions from sadness to amuse to evil.. she was soooo good.

Gentelman: I agree with Amna, KRQ's writing is over intellectualized and so boring. Characters just keep on talking. It was the same in MPTH. I seriously can't bring myself to separate KRQ's personality from his craft. I don't really want to watch any of his dramas anymore.

Zard Patton ka Bann hits you where it's needed without being excessively depressing. I have often found forced romantic tracks in shows with social issues to be distracting but Meenu and Noufil's track is so natural, without the typical cringe romantic tropes of staring at each other and sappy dialogues. And's its also now hinted why Afzal never married, possibly because he was in love with Samiya Mumtaz's character who was married off to someone else. Last scene got very scary, and now Afzal needs a real doctor because he wants to save the person in question and cannot rely on his hit and trial method like he did for other villagers, whose lives he didn't care for much. I just want to add to Aamna's point that Rani's assault is physical but possibly in the gen!tal area which refers to many cases that were report in news to have happened to under aged house help of both genders.
