@@leif1075 Well I guess anything is possible with television, but she doesn't appear in the other books that the series is based on. Maybe we need a Bring Back Roscoe movement.

minor details are solid. Good gunsmanship.. The fighting actually looks like theyre fighting and not weird orchestrated swings. The silence, the accurate blood use. Its good.

The CGI fire, gunfire and stabbings in the final episode were pretty cheap looking.

It’s been renewed for season 2 now so there will be more.

8 Episodes per season is pretty standard for Prime Video---Bosch, Hanna, Jack Ryan, Goliath, etc..

I agree,but season 2 is confirmed,so after the reviews,I think that they will add more episodes,Say 10 or 11 episodes in season 2, can't wait.

@@tsaneer I doubt that. Reviews were Fantastic for Bosch, and it was the most viewed series on Amazon Video. They remained at 8 episodes through the entire 7 seasons. They also have 8 episodes per season for their other very popular series: The Boys, Fleabag, Man in the High Castle, etc. Don't see that format changing.

True. I remember how enraged fans of the books were when Tom Cruise was casted in those films.

Alan Ritchson said in an interview that he's read all of the books when he was researching the role to understand the character and didn't watch the Tom Cruise movies so that he wouldn't be influenced by them.

Seriously? The show was good, but the subtle White Knight WOkeness started to creep in, which are nothing like the books.

TV adaptations regularly change things up a bit according to viewership liking a character portrayal or not . They did introduce the Neagley character a lot earlier than the novels did after all . The Walking Dead series kept some characters around for awhile due to the viewers liking that person .

@@rydfree I think there are too many characters in The Walking Dead. Some pop up a couple of seasons later and I can't remember them.

100% agree, read all the Reacher books and the series was spot-on. The movies, although entertaining, were not "Reacher" enough.

Having never read the books I finally saw the Jack Reacher movie with Cruise a few months ago and I enjoyed it quite a bit. When I saw the Amazon series, I really liked it but I never realized that Reacher was supposed to have some big physical presence.

I won't knock Tom Cruise for delivering the Reacher attitude but Alan Ritchson gave us that same attitude in a Reacher sized body. The extra screen time because this is a series and not a movie allowed more character development and depth. Really enjoyed the performances of the leads and was very satisfied with the show as a whole. Looking forward to more of the same.

Did you like Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump? Harrison Ford as Han Solo? Or Morgan Freeman as Red in shawshank redemption?

Tom Cruise is a great actor and he did the best he could in the role, but the sheer intimidation factor a giant GigaChad of a man that being shredded and 6'5" makes is pretty difficult to replicate when you're only average height like Cruise is.

I thought Tom pulled of the character, but not the obvious height stature mojo. Alan does a great job.

It’s great. Goes much darker than I expected and the chemistry between the lead players is perfect. Big kudos to the casting team.

Hopefully, this will be released on DVD and we can really appreciate how well those pair acted.

Except Willa probably won't be in anymore. Reacher in the books moves on. Which is kinda sad cause the casting of S1 was great.

@@HowardsHaunt But, other than Reacher, there will be all different characters (except maybe Neagley) if they're adamant about following the books. There are very few continuing characters in the books.

@@HowardsHaunt Yeah, I'm a huge fan of the books. But if they bent canon to bring back Roscoe and even Finlay some, I think everyone would be cool with that.

I took issue with some posters who called some of the narrative elements from Roscoe and Neagley "woke b.s." as I felt that their actions were well within the range of the characters and the overall narrative quality of the show.

@@victorpradha9946 They are going to have to be careful adapting Die Trying (book 2) to avoid this. It could probably be done, but if it were up to me, I'd skip it and do another book next.

@@victorpradha9946 You couldn't elevate the efficacy of Neagley, who is an absolute boss in the books. Molly Beth is my favorite tragic character in all literature and well played. Rosco, however, took longer to you-know-what Reacher and also took her brush with both death and a fate worse than better than in she did in the book. I think these changes followed societal norms and didn't lead them, so I wouldn't call the changes 'woke' per se, just 'up to date'. All in all, the book to screen writing was spectacular. It is kinda' funny how the 'a Reacher that looks like Reacher' ethos contrasts with casting a Rosco who looks pretty different than in the book. Willa is gorgeous and really played the part well, though. They also cut the two waitresses in the diner down to one, so you could say women got the short straw there. 😁

As a long-time book fan, if Amazon wants to bend canon to bring Roscoe back, cool with me

I'm wondering if they might tweak it so she is recruited by the FBI as Reachers contact. She mentioned that she was recruited at one time.
