My home town, as a retired fleet technician for Bridgestone commercial, Taupo has a truly unique and fabulous history of the trucking companies, definitely changed in the last 10 year's since my retirement. 😊.

When I first arrived in Taupo in 78 from the Army, Taupo was so small and only foresty sheep and trout fishing, oh of course bloody tourist, ha ha ha. Now it's a huge economic growth even just behind the scenes is the modern new geothermal power station, one of the 8 geothermal power stations, sadly most of the foresty was cleared then dairy farms replacement, thankfully for climate change its not as cold as used to be ha ha ha.
