Wow, it seems, William is being really generally honest in his opinions. He even felt Guilty when Elizabeth said she still loves him. Like He doesn't want it to seem manipulative. But also wants it to be a mending father daughter relationship.

yep! william has no reason to lie and be manipulative anymore, now that everything's over in my AU. and he's realized how many lives he's ruined when cass put him in UCN (which is not the usual UCN with animatronics haunting him, it's hallucinations of his family instead) so he somewhat tries to mend his relationships, however late it is
