Am I the only one who noticed that many people crucified Logano for his Darlington win, but now they call it acceptable because of the tussle between Hamlin and Byron in this race? Then again, Byron squeezed the 22 into the wall in a similar fashion to what the 11 did to him here at Texas and Logano got payback by punting the 24 under green and on the closing laps, but still.

Not a Hamlin fan but not letting him get his position back for Byron spinning him out under caution is pretty stupid

My question is why was byron so mad. He didn't think he did anything wrong when he squeezed joey in the wall at darlington.

24 should have been penalized… nascar just gave permission for anybody to basically spin the car In front if you under yellow if they are faster…. Cause they can’t get the spot back….between tires and this bs… nascar has got serious problems on their hands

Byron admitted immediately after the race that he was "pissed" and that he intentionally went after Hamlin during the yellow. NASCAR admitted that they should've addressed it at that time, and that it would've been handled differently, had they looked at the on-board video from the 24 car. I've been a Hendrick fan for 25 years, but NASCAR must be consistent with any incidents of retaliation that occur during a caution period. At a minimum, Byron should've been sent to the back of the pack, and Hamlin should've been allowed to return to the position he held prior to be spun out by Byron. Once again, top NASCAR officials fail to make the correct call when they are faced with a little bit of a pressure situation. (Similar to their handling of the rain situation at Daytona)

Nascar should have let the 11 regain his spot and park the 24. Kyle Busch did it and got parked but Kyles was the same time

Whatever happened to “positions are frozen at the moment of caution”. Not a Denny fan, but it’s pretty common sense to put Hamlin back in second at green flag.

So at the Xfinity race in Portland Iwuji (accidentally)spins Ty Gibbs under yellow and Iwuji gets penalized and Ty gets his spot back, yet tonight Bryon (Intentionally) spins Hamlin under yellow and no penalty and Hamlin doesn't get his spot back??? I'm not a Hamlin fan by any stretch but like plz be consistent with this stuff Nascar...good grief

Surely under caution means you hold your position from when the pace car comes out . So you ease off a bit and cruise until the pace car buggers off . Getting shoved around under caution I've never seen float . Anywhere . I've seen drivers banned for praying about during yellow flag but not discussed . I've not watched NASCAR for a long while ( none of your business) when did differences stop being sorted out in the pits ?

I’m no fan of Hamlin but this was not acceptable decision making on the part of NASCAR. They need to make some changes to the rules to accommodate someone getting clearly, deliberately dumped by another driver. Byron should have been sent in for a stop and go penalty at the very least.

I'm not a fan of either driver. But what the 25 did to the 11 under the yellow is no different then what the 11 tried to do to the 24 under the same yellow. So what the 24 saved it and the 11 didn't. The 24 got a 25 point penalty and the 11 got nothing. The 11 should have gotten a point penalty as well.
