This 100-yr old building was once part of Waco's Paul Quinn College. When the school relocated to Dallas, the campus was repurposed, except for this historic structure. Now, in 2022, plans are coming together to restore and revitalize the edifice. I have been wanting to do a fly through with a drone ever since I first saw the building a few years ago. I now have a DJI Avata, so I took it into the building to take a look.
One question that comes to mind is why the building was allowed to fall into this state of disrepair, in the first place. If the City of Waco owns it, they are responsible for the horrendous neglect. Expecting taxpayers to support renovation is ludicrous. Those responsible for this failure should be charged with crimes. My drone toured a portion of two floors, and anyone who knows about roofs will tell you that this one is in a sad state.
