Reminds me of when the dust has settled, the calm sets in and the pieces have fallen wherever they've fallen but the pain remains as a reminder of what once was and is no more.

Ouch. From the tender guitar opening to the gut wrenching first words, this song takes the knife and twists it inside your chest. The man is regretful, but honestly apologetic. He knows that he has made a fatal mistake. But he has to get it off his chest. It hurts him so much. He warns the woman how much his admission will hurt her. This admittance is met by the woman’s heartbreaking line, “I want back the years that you took when I was young, but it's done.” The man is left with that feeling of being forgotten, rejected, left behind. What a feeling. Like jumping from a plane with no parachute. There’s no return. It’s done. We like to forget that some things are final in life. There is always a way to fix it or make it better or at least tolerable. But in this case, it’s too much for either of them to handle. They both agree that they don’t feel love anymore. And they separate. Like joint from socket. Ouch.

Grant Whitfield Thanks man. This song really resonated with me as I went through a breakup last year, so the pain in the verses was very real. But I made it though, and I'm quite content now! If anyone is listening to this song while going through a breakup, keep your head up and be proud of who you are! If I can do it, you can too!

This song is my go to when i'm feeling alone, remembering hard things. It always brings tears and the feeling of regret, wishing to had made a different choice, knowing that you can't change what's done, but you have to keep moving on before you stand still and weep like a rock in the rain. :(

Heh... I know this comment is a year old at this point, but I only today actually listened to the lyrics. This really is a very depressing song now. LOL. Oh well, it's still got a very beautiful sound about it. Pain was and always will be a very real thing we have to look out for. Thanks for interpreting this song for dull folk like myself.

I don't know how you operate, but when Sheep uploads a song by an artist I've never heard of, my immediate reaction after finishing is to leave a comment of appreciation on the video then spend the next 2-3 hours finding every song the artist has ever made. Most of the time that leads to finding new channels and even more artists to spend even more hours doing the same thing. Sheep's just at the top of the game when it comes to life changing artist discoveries, his fans are hugely appreciative.

Thats 1 if not the only reason i love this channel, most of Sheepy's uploads either make or break you. Some of the tunes he has uploaded have got me into deep thought about whats going on around me/to others around me. Music is powerful stuff.
