I remember people constantly saying Dubas caved and overpaid him and how average he would always be. They said I was delusional, saying he was a steal and he would never be the player I said he was. Nobody backed my opinions and here we are and he's exactly what I said he would be. That's not to say i knew anything special. Everyone should have seen it. It was always there if you add the context of the situation he was operating under. I believed in Willy then and I believe in him now. This is always what he was. People just didn't see it and needed someone to blame. Same with Holl. He's a fantastic Defence first player and the hate he gets is because people don't understand defence and what makes him good. It's not about the points. It's the way he sees the game.

This Leafs win was far from impressive, and hardly anything to celebrate too hard. Hawks hit a bunch of posts and had a couple of odd man rushes and drove the net. This Hawks team is atrocious but still Toronto just barely managed to squeeze out an OT victory, a lot due to Campbell being lights out. Looking sloppy as hell, this Maple Leafs team. Puck is consistently handled as a grenade. Justin Holl looked like he was skating in quicksand out there with a giant parachute holding him back. Muzzin looked like his legs are shot, too. People are saying the league is so fast today, but man did he look sluggish out there, Justin Holl. You gotta love Nylander skating stride though on the GW goal, he's just gliding through like a space pod.
