The amount of times me and mine have listened to this. Perfect is a big thing to say but its properly lovely. I came across it after watching the last series of this is england where woody and milky are dancing in the garden to fantastic man. Beautiful scene.

This is a gem! I will have to check out Mr. Onyebar's versions of his albums. I don"t have anything to compare this to as of yet. I sure did enjoy what I heard here.

Oh yes in deed dear. Very high minded individual made these musical notes and truet me had a ball making them. Did he get down and boogie to his own creation? I believe he did. Does Steven Tyler put on the Rocks album and jam out to his own music. Does Mick Jagger put on the Rolling Stones and enjoy his own music? I don't really know. I would like to know of course. But I don't. But something tells me this cat here gets down on the boogie even to that which he created. Right? I think so. I could be wrong. All we can do is get the boogie down ourselves and that might be enough for the creator. Thanks

Sorry to burst everyones Onyeabor bubble, but this is not him! His is much better than these remakes. Much more raw, edgey, dirty. Get on some proper Onyeabor trip!

This is kinda a tribute album for him, the songs are performed by Hot Chip, The Vaccines and some remixes of Onyeabor's work.

it would be good if that was explained above by Luaka Bop.....very misleading....so does William Onyeabor have an album called What? or is that the tribute album title???.. so annoyed by this so thanks Joseph watts for clearing that up (even tho it took me 3 years to read the comment)

I'm assuming it's related to this (from Wikipedia). That's Alexis Taylor's voice in the first track. Thought I recognised it. Whatever it is, it's nice, though: "2014 also saw a touring supergroup called the Atomic Bomb! Band come together to play Onyeabor's music at a series of concerts and festivals around the world. The group is led by Music Director Ahmed Gallab[9] and his band Sinkane and includes David Byrne (of Talking Heads), Money Mark (of the Beastie Boys),[10] Damon Albarn (of Blur and Gorillaz), Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange and Lightspeed Champion),[5] Alexis Taylor (of Hot Chip), Charles Lloyd and Amadou and Mariam.[11] Other admirers of Onyeabor's work include Dan Snaith, Four Tet and Tune-Yards.[5]"
