Using The Enorossi Caddy 8 V-Rake For The First Time!

Hey everyone, in this video we try out our Enorossi Caddy 8 V-Rake for the first time. We also make some adjustments so the hay will come out of the rake, once we got everything adjusted it worked like a dream.

Once you get the right settings on your rake you will really like it, I only use the v rake on the 2nd and 3rd cutting when it's not so heavy of grass

A wheeled v rake is all I’ll ever have now! It’s such a time saver. I think my rake has a few more fine tune adjustments then that style when it comes to getting the windrow width correct. These rakes will save more then half the time of a side delivery. On really thick hay you can offset into the previously raked ground to prevent the windrow from being to thick. My Enrossi Tedder had the same fittings and they leaked also. I fixed it but can’t remember now what I did.

Yeah I really like the way your take is designed so all the wheels move independently. I saved tons of time I think it took me right at 2 hrs to rake 12 acres where before it took 4/12 to 5 hrs.

You want the windrow to be exactly the width of your baler pick up. If its a round baler, having high sides with a dip in the middle of the windrow is perfect.

Thanks for the video. I moved to Montana last year and plan to hay my own 7 acres. I just bought a new Kioti DK5310SE 50HP Tractor and I'm hoping it will be enough to do the cutting and raking. If I could bail with it, I'd be in heaven. I'm retired and would love to hay fields for a retirement job and there's plenty of folks needing the help up here. Your video and the comments left here were really helpful. THANK YOU! One quick question... Did you ever resolve the hydraulic line leaks you were having?

If your on flat ground or smaller hills that 50 hp tractor should be plenty to do all the work with, I had a 40hp before and it ran the baler perfectly fine, it just we have some pretty steep hills and the tractor didn’t weigh enough to keep the baler from pushing it around, Yes I did get the leaks fixed, I used Teflon tape on the threads and it sealed it right up, although some don’t recommend using it because if your not very careful it can get in your hydraulic system and mess things up

@@michaelvail4769 We used a 45 horse Long tractor to cut, rake, and bale for a very long time. We ran a New Idea 4844 softcore 4x4 baler. We'd pack a bale til the tractor almost died. Made pretty bales. Happy haying
