Its not reasonable (in the eyes of the law) for a person to defend himself hours or even minutes after the fact. I live in Indiana and you can't even shoot an intruder in your own home if that person is attempting to flee. So, I say all of that to say: Bone and Terry became threats to Suge once they confronted him at Tam's. Therefore, Suge had every reason to retreat. Unfortunately for Bone and Terry, he was behind the wheel of a 7,000 lb Ford F-150 Raptor. Was it Suge's intent to run over Bone and Terry? One could argue that. But, the State did not see it that way which is why the State offered Suge manslaughter and not murder. But, the elephant in the room is the Three-Strikes law. If Suge was not a repeat felony offender, it would have made since for him to take this to trial. The State bullied him into taking that plea because they wanted to put him behind bars for the rest of his life (plea deal means no appeals). And I know he did not get life, but given his age and his health there is a chance that he may die in prison.
