This is fantastic! I really appreciate a well thought-out good Willow edit. Just wish it was a little longer. What this video showcases, as the title of the song states, is that the power of magic was always within her and she had to choose which way to direct it. Unfortunately, living the Scooby life, it was not so easy to control the forces around her and inside of her. Her becoming corrupted was a shows-long arc for her character, it wasn’t just a theme of Season 6. And I think that’s why a lot of people felt put off by it: because they didn’t realize that her reliance on magic and other sources of power were something she was always being corrupted by because she was always vulnerable to it’s thrall as the purest member of the Scooby Gang and one of the most insecure characters in the whole show. Ergo, people don’t quite get that it’s not about the magic. It’s about the power. Magic was just the tool to accumulate that power because she was best at it. Willow is power hungry all the way through the show, it’s just you don’t want to see it.

I can relate with her willow has always been my favorite she desperately wants control and she finds power and end up losing control but she finds it again. Later on through knowledge love and self acceptance.

0:24 my fav part! willow blowing up the door with the beat. *chefs kiss* i love the way you built her up with sound affects and voiceovers and then the chorus was just sooo epic???? like the parallel scenes with her hits and the magic, sooo good. you rocked this one moon ♥
