The bassist just killed it. She's Indian btw and her name is Mohini Dey. ❤

I'm 56 y.o. & I will go to a Willow concert with no shame. This is a dope af Tiny Desk performance as well as her new album. I ❤️ it when we step out of our "normalcy" of artistry (gospel, hip hop, r&b, etc) when we know our creativity holds no limitations. 🔥❤️💯

In a heartbeat. This is music. This is original. This is art. I have goosebumps. This is so much better than the popular stuff that's everywhere.

I just realized that she's one of the only artists I've seen on here with no background singers...and they weren't missed! I would pay to see her live. Master class in utilizing your whole voice, whole face and whole body.

I cried listening to that rendition, it was so beautiful. I didn’t think it was going to get me while I was eating in front of tons of people. I was like nooooo! But it was okay. I remember listening to “home” off of “lately I feel everything” and I was losing it in the middle of the night, crying my eyes out silently on my bed holding my chest while my husband was asleep next to me. I was crying for the loss of my ex, our ex, and it grabbed me.. so hard. I really tried not to wake him up but somehow he felt my energy and woke up, didn’t notice me crying thankfully, but it was so crazy experiencing that album for the first time. It changed my life and helped me through that break up. Healing spoke through her to me..thank you Willow. If I could thank her in person. ❤

Willow, you go girl. Creating is a sacred space one reaches when connected to something beyond our comprehension. And when we find ourselves in that space, free from the shackles that bind us, everything happens. All the narratives heard while growing up, others' expectations, they all unravel in this space of pure connection. It's beautiful to see your unfolding.

Willow is in so many ways a representation of human evolution (which even evolution doesn’t quite fit what’s happening), and I don’t just say that because we share a surname. What you feel when you hear her is a reflection of the state of your souls ability to influence its vehicle. Human is the vehicle. These bodies manipulate our soul and vice versa. The body tells us to reject that which sounds foreign. That which sounds familiar to the soul in a way that creates an uprising that the body rejects. However, once you understand that the first box is a lie, that you aren’t just a collection of flesh and blood, every other box is easily dismantled. It’s why she is never trying to be anything. She’s not trying to fit into the box of women, or black, or any of it, because once you dismantle the biggest box, the rest are minuscule to you. She is creating from a place that I’m sure doesn’t even make sense to her, but that’s the beauty. It’s a path that deviates from the paved roads and we’re seeing something new as a result. Add in her talent and the insane voice control she’s created…insane.

Willow is absolutely breaking barriers in music at just the right pace (pun intended). It's crazy how far she's come at such an early age. This is such mature music, can't believe she's 23 (props the her producers and musicians working with her of course, but the vision is so very Willow). I'm just so glad to have discovered her music this early and that I will get to see what she does in the future. I am so stoked for tonight. So far we got three songs from Empathogen and all three are bangers. I can't stop listening to her performance of Run, she's magnetic. Oh and I looooove her live performances, she adds so much soul to them. God we don't deserve her. 13:18 my thoughts exactly Also your reaction to Run had me dying 😭😭😭
