Back with my first night stealth camping in the new van. It was good to be back on the road even if it was just for one night testing out the new set up. I have so much more space which I'm not used to but I'm really looking forward to getting on with the build to get the van in a more liveable state.

I watch your video because you don't plan few things like scripting your video it come all out from your heart and mind, other creators mainly have content in their mind but your videos all natural and very best than all other creators ,what ever you are planning in your next video its always something new different entertaining and always learning cant wait this new van build videos to complete and to see camping videos that are on other level .stay safe and healthy have a great day.

A good tip if you are going to do some urban stealth camping. Get some magnetic stickers for the side of the van like “wills pest control”. People won’t look twice at your van then.

You could make up a fictional company and have magnetic signs on the van. Put a rack on top with a ladder and stealth camp in industrial areas. I watch your videos because secretly I want to do this.

To Dave Goodridge - hey that's a rather good idea actually, especially for a woman. Only drawback is that quite often business vans get broken into for tools etc. I often thought I could put up a sign about 'horse manure' cos no-one would want to steal that !!! Ha Ha 😁

A good tip when forgetting what side the petrol is on is every fuel gauge has an arrow pointing to the side it is on 😊saved me many times

We watch because of all the vanlife/travel channels on KZfaq, yours is one of the most down to earth and honest. You are a genuinely engaging person with a zest for life that is infectious! You make us laugh too but we're not laughing at you, because you are very good at bringing your audience along, so it's like we're sharing the fun and laughing with you. And of course we can't wait to see the finished van! Although that's a misnomer as any vandweller will tell you, no van is ever finished....!! 😂😂

There is a purity to videos like this one and channels like yours. There's no added drama or tricks that every television show uses to capture the audience. Tricks that have been boiled down to a concise formula over the years and have worked. But I just find their repetitive and manipulative in a way. But when I watch you camping in your car, cooking on your bed, or trying to find a place to sleep it's real. I know that somewhere in the world someone is actually doing what I'm watching. And that reality of it is intriguing and engaging. Even if nothing happens, like the cops can knock at your window or some weird stuff happens, it's just still entertaining. But now that you're doing the van build you get to see progress and in that is a bit of drama. It's fun to see the beginning the middle of the end of a project like that. I don't know, I'm a simple dude who likes the authenticity of seeing someone do a thing.

Honestly, I absolutely love your content. You're a real lad, not a professional van builder, not someone who's planning on living in it full time. Just a regular bloke I could go for a pint with and shares a love of buggering about, learning on the go, vans and camping. I feel like if we worked together we'd be mates from day one. I look forward to your next vids more than any other on KZfaq atm. I cant wait till you go somewhere a bit more wild, come for a drive up north, we have some incredible places to stop and the views are epic, even better than that though is the solitude. Go to your van. Look at the fuel gauge. Look at the fuel pump sign. There is a little marker arrow to show which side of the vehicle it is located. Most vehicles have them on now. Thank me later. Ace videos. Thanks so much for taking the time to film and share. Maggie and MACK, Huddersfield

Bet its also nice having more room to move about that wasn't so easy in the galaxy. Just a few ideas for covering Windows maybe a roller blind with guides down the side to keep them close to windows. Also remember once you once you installed everything you wanted you will start to feel more inclosed

Which side does the fuel go in? There's an arrow next to the fuel gauge on the dash indicating which side the fuel goes in. :-) Bet you didn't know that!!

Your not a loser, you should be proud of what you have accomplished with your van build, your set-up is only temporary so it doesn’t matter what it looks like. I like watching your videos because we are doing our own van builds together, even though we are not together in any way. I watch because I stumbled across your channel whilst watching van life vids. I keep watching because you show everything, including mistakes and have a great outlook on life. It's also good that you put your mental health out there and I think that should be encouraged as many of us bottle things up. You also just do it whilst some of us just sit there dreaming. why i look at your videos: i have always loved living minimalistic. i have always hated paying rent to someone. so 5 years ago i went out and bought me a brand new caravan that i live in. i love seeing how you live and maby pick up some smart things i did not know about. and it is fun to see you building the van. Just really enjoying the progress of this van build and can't wait to see it done, and I loved this video so perhaps you should do a stealth Camp in the van every so often as you progress with the build, cos you might come up with better ways on how you want it to look inside and come up with ideas that will make things easier for you as you stay out in it, got to be a dogging site from time to time as love your reactions when you hear strange noises lol, keep up the videos am really enjoying your content

I watch because a lot of videos on YT showing stealth camps, and general van builds don't show how things don't go to plan. And it gives sometimes, a false impression on things usually too smoothly - but in your case, you show all the bells and whistles with no frills on how things actually do happen in the real world. And your vids are highly entertaining indeed! looking forward to more stealth camps and van build videos. Keep up the top work :)

I think going out initially in an ''empty'' van is the way to go anyway, firstly for fun, but secondly it will give you ideas on how you want to configure the interior, which you can do gradually and tweak as you go along. Looks great fun mate, keep the quality content coming!

You need a wind/splash shield for your stove. I made one for my single burner Coleman camping stove using some 12" aluminum flashing. Remember to include some hold down tabs that go underneath so that it sort of locks to the stove. 5 gallon bucket + heavy grocery bags + eco gel deodorizing chemicals = camp toilet. They also sell a toilet seat that fits on a 5 gallon bucket for greater comfort. Oh and to add, definitely add a roll up awning to the roof of the van for shade in the summer and to catch the rain in the winter.

I have gone down this stealth camping rabbit hole a few years ago and watch Steve Wallis too, amongst others covering everything from camping out, bike packing and stealth camping. Will, here's a tip. If you're ever unsure which side the petrol cap is, look at the petrol icon on the dashboard - the little triangle arrow tells you which side, left or right!

I watch because I love the way you just set off and tackle whatever comes your way. I don't like seeing the luxury of some van dwellers (especially the girls with their toilets, showers and endless cupboards). It's the simple solutions to life's basic needs that gets me. It makes me think there is always a way to survive and somehow that make me feel secure.

I watch your videos because I enjoy your accent and you seem like a genuine person that makes mistakes which is great to see. I watch a variety of different channels (gaming, van life, crafting, true crime, tech) and the ones I stick with and continue to watch show their mistakes, seem to have an actual interest in what they are doing, seem like real people or have real knowledge, and they have highs and lows like the rest of us.

Hi Wil, on the curtains, try using high powered magnets to secure it or just cutout a card board box, paint it black then put a small suction cup to it, it will be more neat looking and cheaper.

I believe the biggest reason people like myself watch and subscribe to van dwellers like yourself and builds is we currently can't live that lifestyle so we live vicariously thru watching. It looks great though. Keep it up!!

Just found your channel tonight. I like different styles of camping videos. Stealth, van, tent pretty much anything camping related. I've gone camping in the middle of nowhere every year since i can remember and wish i could get out more.

Small tip, if you're unsure what side the fuel intake is, look at the fuel gauge there is an arrow that points to the side it's on. 👍

I think the main reason I like your videos are because you're relatable and normal (I mean that in a good way, even though it might not come across lmao). As in, your personality isn't unrealistically blown up for KZfaq to an annoying level (which seems like what most content creators do), but the content is still entertaining.

I watch Camping with Steve, 1 he's good, and 2 it's in Canada, but your closer to home, and don't try and hide who you really are, keep doing what your doing buddy
